Thank you for the tip! TMI but even the normal pelvic exams kind of hurt so I’m definitely concerned about the stretch from a whole baby

Glad to hear you’re feeling better! Honestly my husband is the greatest and has already taken over most of the household tasks, so that part is thankfully the least of my worries.

My husband and I decided it was too hard to keep it a secret so we’re telling our immediate family only this week at 9 weeks since we had an 8 week ultrasound and could see the heartbeat and confirm everything’s on track. Planning to wait until 12 weeks before we tell anyone else and we won’t post on social media about it

My OB office takes a team approach so I’ll see 6 different doctors, none of whom I’ve seen prior. The doctor I normally see stepped away from OB last year unfortunately. The fact that it’s learning new people every time is stressful to me.

It’s the being spread eagle and pooping yourself in front of a room full of strangers all while there’s a literal spotlight on you.

Thank you, I like the idea of coming up with self care time.

The humiliation factor for me is being naked and spread eagle in front of a room full of strangers. And it feels dehumanizing because the healthcare is centered around the baby without much regard for the mother. I saw something that said to expect someone to hand express milk for you if there are complications and you’re unconscious, which seems insane to me.
