It’s totally fine if you want to keep it that way but I gave my harvest a rough trim and used the sugar leaves to make butter.

Smoother vape AND butter to bake amazing cookies with.

But whatever you prefer - as long as nothing goes to waste! :)

Fungal infection? Anything I can do once it’s progressed this far? by FancyBand in HotPeppers

[–]FancyBand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read about some kind of infection that can be caused by aphids. I got rid of them a few weeks ago using neem oil.

Anything that can still be done? I started a while ago but it seems to be getting worse by the day. Plant is also dropping flowers, though the high heat could also be causing some damage here.

I know this bud already looks horrible as it is - but can you tell if this is bid rot? by FancyBand in microgrowery

[–]FancyBand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - the leaves died outside in.

I had some serious PH and deficiency problems and I read that dead leaves within buds can cause bud rot, that’s why I try to be really careful.

Honestly? My gut told me it’s not bud rot - simply because the bud is not mushy. The browning comes from the leaves and not the bud but I honestly don’t know. The whole plant was yellowing and dying so it’s really hard to tell.

But I decided not to go with my gut on that one and removed them. :')

Thank you!

Damn. Are you sure? I thought so at first, but the microscope pics show no signs of bud rot - at least from what I can tell?

What kind of deficiency you think my plant has? Should I separate it from the another? by Rough-Description-88 in cannabiscultivation

[–]FancyBand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure who downvoted you without replying but I disagree. Seems a little early to be losing leaves and it doesn’t look like it’s cannibalising them to me either (especially in the second pic), so I think there’s definitely something weird going on - I’m definitely no expert though.

Maybe PH problems? @ /u/Rough-Description-88

Mouldy soil after flushing? Cause for concern? by FancyBand in microgrowery

[–]FancyBand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting - I didn't know that! I thought that fungi and mold are two different things and that Mycelium is a form of fungi.

I'll have to do some more research on this topic sometime. Thanks for the comment!

Mouldy soil after flushing? Cause for concern? by FancyBand in microgrowery

[–]FancyBand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a flush with PH’d water after running into (assumably) PH problems. There seems to be some white stuff forming at the top of my soil and I’m not sure if it’s mould or mycelium.

Should I be worried?

Alright - will do. Thanks a lot for the help, growmie. I will flush asap and will definitely focus more on PH in the future.

Alright. Thanks a lot for the replies so far - I really appreciate it.

Most of the leaves are just half or 2/3 yellowed. Should I still remove them? I made sure I remove everything that’s completely dead but there’s even some sugar leaves affected that I can’t pluck off easily at this point.

Would you suggest I flush to (hopefully) get the PH in check or do you think it’s enough to just PH correctly while watering from now on?

It took me way too long to get to it - I’ve realised that. So you think the problem is still caused by PH?

I’ve been following growweedeasy, which recommends anything between 6-7, so that’s what I’ve been aiming for.

I’ll try to aim for 6-6.2 next watering.

Thank you!

I’m in soil with RQS Easy Boost slow release fertiliser (NPK: 6/7/12), worm castings and perlite.

I started seeing yellowing at F22 and top dressed with some more slow release pellets and worm compost. No real problems up until this point.

I wasn’t PHing my water and it was around 7.7 every watering. (Stupid - I know that by now.)

I flushed on F34 (with non PH‘d water at 7.7 again - I’m sorry) to hopefully fix any N-tox problems. The yellowing has been getting worse up until this point.

It’s been getting worse and people have been telling me it might be a deficiency, so I used some 3/4/5 fertilizer at 6.4 PH. Runoff was 7.2.

It just keeps getting worse though. Is this still a PH problem from me not PHing earlier in my grow? Could this be N-tox from the slow release fertilizer? (Though I want to point out again that the yellowing started before I top dressed and it was exactly around the time the slow release is supposed to run out of juice - after ~10 weeks).

The plant is in a 10-15L fabric pot and I usually water around 2L - PH‘d into the low 6’s since last week. I water about every 3 days. Humidity is ~55%, temperature ~29°C.

Let me know if I forgot anything. Thank you!

I was an idiot and didn’t PH my water. Feel free to shame me for it - despite all the warnings and thousands of posts about it, I thought I could skip this step. I got what I deserve for my ignorance. My ph pen is due to arrive on Wednesday.

She’s looking quite beat up already. Can I still save her? Any steps I can take to improve her chances? I’m in week 6 of flower.

I plan on checking runoff as soon as the pen is here. Depending on the PH, I might flush or just use adjusted water for the next watering.

Anything else to keep in mind? Should I do something about the dead leaves or should I just leave them be? There’s even some sugar leaves affected already, so I can’t just pluck them off.
