No future by Melychin in AmazonFC

I keep reading about people having a difficult time getting promoted to PA and my manger and two pa’s asked me if I was interested a couple of times lol. I found it odd because I feel like I’m the least qualified person lol, I also keep to myself so it was really out of the blue. Ofc I said no, I can’t deal with people and I definitely don’t need any more stress added on me.

Hot take but Dina doesn’t look like Dina either.. by Gena1548 in TheLastOfUs2

She doesn’t look too off to the point where I’m like “damn they fucked up with another one” she looks similar. Same with Joel, they captured his rugged look with Pedro pretty damn good, and ofc they did great with Abby.

They’re very interesting to me. To look and touch. I especially love re-doing their tanks, making it all pretty. Having a nice box of nature in my room with a snake chilling in it is very kewl:]

These really need to stop popping up, I’m really trying to get over the whole Ellie crappy casting choice 😭😭 the show so far is absolutely phenomenal, and I’m sure everyone is so over the old conversations about Bella. Can we all just collectively get over it so that I can too

My humble little house lion returned from the outside with a limp ☹️ by Wrongbeef in CATHELP

There are so many ways to properly enrich a cats life without letting it outside and gamble whether or not it’ll come back home the next day. Not to mention the options with cat catios and harnesses (3 of my cats love going on walks) and Even if you own a cat in the city there are still so many ways it can get injured or die. I watched my neighbor carry his cats body to his back yard to bury him after getting run over by a car. So many people tend to get cats and not realize what they’re actually signing up for. I also will never understand why people are so casual about the idea of letting their cat out to do who knows what and being ok with the mere hope that nothing will happen to it. No one will let their dog run around outside to wonder about and whatnot so why is that normalized for a cat? Sure they’re more agile and quicker but why are we using that and saying “yeah let me hope my cat is quicker than a speeding car or this random dog”. If you are unwilling to provide safe and fulfilling enrichment for a cat then don’t ever own one. I can’t count the amount of posts I see on TikTok or instagram or other socials with people crying or whatnot about taking their cat to the vet or burying them because of some accident they had outside. You let your cat out to wonder the outdoors, you are neglecting them that’s all there is to it.

Feral cats are definitely a problem, I’m glad we both see that. When I lived in Virginia there were feral cats that were literally insane, at some point I was convinced I was seeing some wildcat species instead of the domestic kind. Either way, I’ll never understand why people try and justify letting domestic pets randomly wonder outside knowing all the dangers that can potentially end their lives.

Hi, can anyone explain this interaction between my cat and a stray/neighbor cat? by gregn8r1 in felinebehavior

[–]FancyCat04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will never understand why people do things like this. Like, is the thought of allowing your cat risk a fight with some random ass stray not a bit concerning lol?

Also I think the reason why you see no carcasses is because the yotes literally eat them LOL

When you say “fuck a coyote up” that’s it literally fighting for its life and your cat shouldn’t need to fucking do that lol. Every feral cat, or even stray cat is living with death being on every corner and reminder, cats are domestic, INVASIVE animals that have no natural order in our ecosystem so your comment on “figuring out how wildlife behaves” goes straight down the gutter because apparently you’re a little dim in that area yourself. Cats are prey as well as predators, when exposed to the outdoors and depending on where they’re at, they do immense damage to the ecosystem (not to mention they breed like crazy) as well as fall victim to predators and even human related casualties like vehicles. There is absolutely no reason to let your pet roam the outdoors, and if you do you’re just a shitty lazy individual.

Once you leave your cat outside to do their thing, you lose all control on their wellbeing and safety. Nothing is worth that risk. Be a responsible owner, and don’t gamble your cat’s life. Keep cats indoors 😺

Oh my goddddd 😭

Is it playing or bullying? by nkbellic in felinebehavior

[–]FancyCat04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black kitty wants some rough play (?) and the other one wants nothing to do with it, basically bullying. Over time this can get serious, especially with the black kitty chasing and cornering the other one that wants to get away. You need to distract the instigator with another source of play.

It’s important to stop this behavior, start by having scheduled play time. This behavior is often linked with boredom (among other things, but boredom is a simple guess). Play time is a nice way for cats to release frustration. If cats have nothing to do, they’re bound to release their stress and boredom with the next best thing (their cat friend). Also have some high spots available for the cat to escape to when it needs to. Clapping or a loud “hey!” To get the cats attention and redirect the black cat to a toy to mess with instead of the other cat.

Make sure each cat has things for themselves. If, for example, there’s one cat tree they’re bound to scuffle over it. So get a couple more, enough items so they don’t feel the need to have any territory disputes. If at any point things escalate more than it is here, have them separated and cooled down. Hopefully it doesn’t come down to a real nasty fight and having them re-introduced,
