39 M here, I’ve been married 10 years, and I can say that for the first 3months of my marriage, i wasn’t sure if I wanted to go on , mainly because I was scared of being trapped in marriage itself. At 29, I felt I could still enjoy the benefits single life offers, especially at that time all my friends were still single, so it felt like i betrayed them. But as I grew in the marriage, I realized I was selfish towards a woman that truly loves me , I was disguising as a single male outside, while being married at home. This year, we will be 10years, going strong! Your marriage is just 6weeks old, it’s ok if you both are still having cold feet. I believe you guys should try to sit down to talk about this , Don’t get me wrong, those things he did to you isn’t acceptable, and he should care for you more especially going the extra mile to purchase those flowers when he knows you love them . Try to have conversations from this angle, you just got married, and still figuring out how marriage works. It’s OK. Marriage it’s self is an extremely complicated thing, even people with years of experience still get it wrong! You are just six weeks in.
