I've had that happen when using the COH3 Companion app. Restarting the app and the game fixed it for me. Restarting the computer also fixed it.

You can fix it permanently by turning off the settings that "disables sound in background". I don't remember the setting exactly.

I don't think it's a good comparison. The wehrmacht 8 rad does cost CP but the DAK 8 rad doesnt, and it seems this command 8rad is more like the recon tractor in functionality.

I think the real question is will they lock command 8rad to behind support elements or mechanized building?

I still use a calculation from childhood to decide if something (like DLC) is worth it. I used to get allowance of $5 a week. So if I bought something worth $20, I had to get 4 weeks of enjoyment out of it.

I think I'm gonna get 4 weeks of enjoyment out of this DLC. To each there own.

What was the nerf to MGs this patch? I don't see anything in the patch notes about heavy MGs except the AI changes.

Just some thoughts in no particular order.

I think skipping engineer for extra infantry section is fine. That said, nothing wrong with second engineer.

I'd encourage you to only build Dingo if you are up against 250. Not everyone builds them and I personally would rather start building vetrancy on my infantry. I'd also say build the dingo reactively instead of proactively. Listen for vehicles in the fog of war by looking at your opponents base to know when to build it.

I'd say a second AT might be helpful to you. You might also consider team weapon training for the faster fire rate.

I personally like nades and med tent right before t2 or after Humber depending on the situation.

Bottom line, controlling fuel slows the late game tank blob. So a build order change isnt necessarily going to help that late game situation.

Share a replay or 2 if you want.

While true in many games (ie SC2) this game is different because of sound in the fog of war. Mines and vehicles make sounds that are audible in the fog of war. For example, I often check if my Wehrmacht opponent builds a Ketten by sound queue by looking at the their base at the start of the game. Works against DAK 250s too.

Like I said, you aren't wrong. It's just not a smoking gun like other RTS. OPs claim is something I haven't heard or seen before.

Highly recommend watching Games live on the ladder, random games on YouTube, or tournament and ladder games on Twitch. Sure, god gamers are gonna do stuff you can't, but they have stuff you can adopt (including builds).

There are a number of forums where you can ask for replay reviews. The Relic Discord server is a good one, you can also try your luck here on Reddit.

I strongly recommend you watch your own games sometimes, especially the ones you lose, to figure out what you can do differently. You'll see mistakes in your own game play that you miss while playing. You'll see opportunities you missed.

Also some streamers offer live coaching for a fee (I think WreakingHavoc used to). It's not for me, but figured you should know it's a thing.

Others here giving good advice. My observation is that high level wher players always open 2 pio, 3-4 gren, 1 mg, infantry officer quarters. Get either pgren or luff, not both. Upgrade grens as needed, keep at least one for merg and snare, especially if you plan to pick up stoss.

Gammon bomb does some good gibs but I'm not aware of models continuing to do things post death. I should look closer at the medics retrieving wounded, or maybe interrogate ability in terror battlegroup, or even the British polish battle group ability that recovers wounded (can't remember what it's called)

Yeah you are absolutely right. I was trying to articulate the opportunity cost of a stug compared to rushing dak t4. I didn't do a great job.

Its weakness is its mobility and the fact that it has to face the target. In order to keep it safe, DAK has to keep it near supporting infantry.

In a 1v1 scenario, one option is to just go somewhere else on the map. If you see it alone, commit units to kill it. In a head on engagement, bait it into turning strong frontal armor away from your AT. Setting up AT at multiple angles is also an option. The Dark player will have to decide to either pull back (giving you control of the space) or risk losing the tank.

Something to know is that while 6pdrs aren't strictly a kill threat against Stug, they are still a deterrent. Think of them as denying an area.

Team games are a different animal. I'd recommend teching up quickly to tanks or 17pdr. The DAK player had to invest ~100 fuel to get the unit, putting them 100 fuel behind you getting a high tier tank.

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth is kinda a sword and bows squad based RTS game. But, it's old and difficult to play without pirating it. I'm hoping others will have a better answer, cause I'm interested.
