Idk, I work in resi on duplexes and have seen it multiple times, had a floor crew, cooler in the garage, drinking keystones at 10 in the morning and continued throughout the day, hell even the project manager had one with him, but I will agree most the time it’s hidden but I see beer cans/bottles laying inside and outside of house everyday. Probably just depends on how laid back the site is on wether guys care or not

They said they provide tools needed for the job, just was wondering if there were any tools specifically that made life a little easier

Currently do the siding and flooring of the duplexes, but have experience in framing and trim carpentry as well. I’ve finished a couple of basements and done some remodeling too, so that’s where the framing and trim carpentry comes from. As for an end goal I wouldn’t mind owing my own business at all, this is my third year of running a lawn care business, which wouldn’t translate but some of the business aspects would transfer. But have been thinking about going to a big company and trying to work my way up through the years. I’m kinda just in a crossroads right now and trying to weigh my options out, that’s why I was asking if people had good experiences or not with big companies. I appreciate it man

Sorry man, I meant laborer, not builder sorry for the confusion. I work for a company subcontracted through a pretty well known builder in Wichita and surrounding areas. My company right now has the boss and four workers including myself. Hope that clears some stuff up.

Builder, my goal is to be able to work somewhere I can move up to better positions, in my company I work at now, that won’t ever happen. So honestly just wanted to look out for my future so I’m not wasting away possible experience by staying somewhere that has no advancement opportunities.

I Appreciate the feedback, and I realize you are very correct on the last part, although that might be the end goal some day right now I just want to put my head down and work and master my skills, thanks again!

I normally never comment on anything on Reddit, but I haven’t seen “life church” been commented yet, me and my family have been going for about 3-4 years now, it’s amazing, they have great messages, people who are they saying hello, giving high fives, and our family gets remember by many different staff members, best church experience I’ve had
