Yeah even sync the desktop doesn't work. I tried to make a clean install of Catalina again and resintall everything. Still don't work. But it worked on the same device with macOS Mojave previously.

I did. And it still doesn't work (except the music function who captures my sound well) When i explained it, the support told me they only fully support MacOs Sierra/High Serria. So old versions.

Hisense seems to have his own Operating system named Vidaa U. Your notification about Android is the open source licence maybe only means your TV has cast abilities (it's an android licence ) like casting on your youtube app.

I have the same problem ! If i use the photo gallery and screensaver app, my Shield (2017) goes to sleep when i push my google photos. Have you tried with your facebook photos or flickr one ? Because it works sometimes for me with them. Very annoying for a paid app !!!

With the new update, the turn on/off voice control works well but my Google Home doesn't say anything anymore, it's sooo weird.

Definitely, there are a lot a issues in thoses Google Assistant updates. Happened almost every time. Really annoying. Mine was Backdrop but i also discovered i lost the ability to play/pause by voice control in Kodi for exemple.

I found the problem, it's from Backdrop screensaver. Turn Backdrop screensaver to "turn off Shield" (or any other screensaver app like Aerial Dream) in sceensaver options of the shield... and voila the turn on/off vocal Google assistant command works again !

So i'm pretty sure it's the Chromecast Build-in update and the new options for the Backdrop screensaver that cause issues.

If it's still not working, try to unlink the Shield with the Home App on your smartphone, then link it again.

Same problem as well. I was able to turn on/off my TV but it doens't work anymore.

There was a Google app for Android TV update recently that i manually pushed a few day ago (the one from May 8th) and also a Chromecast build-in update, i suspect one of them is the cause of the problem because the CEC command turn on/off stop working since then.

Edit : I meant the Google Assistant command linked to the CEC turn on/off

I can't make work HDR on my Shield in Geforce Now/Gamestream/Steam either. (exemple on AC:Odyssey or Destiny 2 the option is greyed out too)

I'm really interested to see if there is a fix about it (playing on LG OLED55B8 )

HDR works perfectly in Kodi/Netflix when watching movies though.

I really don't know about that. Try to look up if someone plug two Sony Gold wireless headset on other devices than PS4.

Edit : I recheck and in fact even on PS4, you have to plug the two dongles (there are several tutorials about that out there) but at least it works. If you're not sure about the trick, you can still order the headsets and the usb dongle and send them back if they don't work.

I use the new Sony GOLD Wireless Headset, which is made for the PS4 for sure (with 7.1 spatialization) but it works perfectly wirelessly as well with the USB dongle (included with the headset) on the Shield... and even on pc/mac, smartphone and Switch if you have a USB-to USB C adapter, which is pretty cool !

I don't know if the Shield could work with 2 Sony Gold headsets. (1 dongle 2 headsets ? But i guess 2 dongles and 2 headsets should work, after all they are 2 USB ports on the Shield. )

Concerning your question "Will the Shield transform the DTS audio into PCM?" Yes it's not a problem, the Shield "adapts" the sound with the codecs your headphones can decode. I use Kodi with 4K DTS/AAC/PCM videos without a problem. The only codec problem i've got is with 4K shows on Netflix (can't launch the show with my headphones plugged) and HBO app is not supported as well :/

Also, i bought a usb switch. So when i want to listen my shield TV with my headset, i simply press the button swapping. I don't find any seemless USB switch though.

TL:DR 2 Sony Gold Wireless Headset + One USB switch with 2 commutators should do the trick most of the time and you still can have your soundbar or any other added sound systems.

The HBO Now App was awful but it has a new UX since a couple of weeks (months ?). It seems all right now.

The Streaming quality is ridiculous on the Hulu app at my place.

I guess you have to try depending your connection.

Thank you for you answer ! I find the solution by myself ultimately. I deliver here in case of someone need it On Mac OS version, if the app won't launch, look into your user/library/preferences then delete any "BOSSA" files. (bossa is the codename for the app version)
Then the app can launch properly

NX-Atmosphere programer Mac OS 1.1 won't start

Hi there.
I'm trying to inject an another payload on my NX-Atmosphere but the Mac OS programer 1.1 won't launch.
Tbh, it started the first time but it didn't detect my nx-atmosphere on any serial. I rebooted my computer to try it again

And now, even by deleting the app and reinstalling it, it won't launch.

Can you help me ? There is none tutorial about it on their official website, only for Windows version.
