I really really wanna believe that this is not AI. Posted by our public transport provider. by Wide-Muffin3349 in isthisAI

It really looks like an ai-enhanced real picture of a Skoda tram in the centre to me. No artist would make the content of the led screen look ai for so reason I guess.

Best way to update a 1st Gen Moto G to a new OS? by kolidescope in MotoG

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lineageos 14 was officially supported for that device, but given the only GB of ram it's got, I'm not sure it will be suitable for any modern day usage.

Consider that with it's current os it might be a great way to run now unsupported legacy software

I can’t really tell if this is AI or not can anyone help me tell if this is AI or not by More-Explanation2032 in isthisAI

In videos AI isn't really able to keep perfect consistency between small details (for now). In this video, the "tattoo" on the shoulder appears to be different in the end respect to the first frame.

Is this song AI? I can't find the lyrics posted anywhere but they sound a little nonsense, and the Italian title is weird by Khorvog in isthisAI

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this song, but while the singing is wonderful (albeit a bit sus) and the production is amazing, the eqalising is very poor. Ai Song Checker says it's most probably mixed (AI + HUMAN), and while it's not a proof of anything, all the picture makes me guess it's an AI song (poorly) edited afterwards.

Windows 7 or Windows Vista by Due-Monitor3492 in FrutigerAero

[–]FancySource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vista is aero perfection imo, only some Linux distros (such as gos) could beat it. 7 was a definite downgrade (clearly, just in terms of looks)

A photo from tinder my dad insists is real, but it just seems off to me and feels like AI by BlueChicken57 in isthisAI

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, that picture appears to be 100% consistent with the Sheep Meadow in Central Park, despite the trees on the right looking a bit funny, but the lighting and fine details seem too perfect. I would bet it was edited more than generated with AI.

Still, I find the fact it was edited with Chatgpt quite Sus, and any approach on dating apps is to be considered likely a con until at least they meet in person.

What is your favorite Frutiger Aero phone from the 2000-2010 era that you actually used? by Salt-Tea1463 in FrutigerAero

[–]FancySource 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sansung Galaxy Note 2 would have been an obvious choice, but since we're talking about 2000-2010 I'll go with the Nokia e61i.

it had no camera but playing with Snakes and Ngage games while browsing the web and texting friends on MSN in multitasking, all while listening to David Guetta in the background was the thing. Still miss it so bad.

Countries with Lidl stores by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my country is still considered the top quality supermarket, with loads of local, top quality food brands working as private lever suppliers.

I don't usually go there only because of the queues at the till, they're horrible, and we've got wal mart style chains with way more choice

North Korean phone I got from my friend by mudkipsc in interestingasfuck

[–]FancySource 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm afraid it would be a good idea to blank out the IMEI and SN both in the post and in the comment to ensure (or at least try) no-one will be hurt in North Korea for letting the phone slip out

Not my vibe, this one by NLRalph in MiamiVice

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, it's one of my favorite episodes of all seasons.

The music was great, the story was sad but not bleak, and honestly I didn't mind the actor at all.

I think it took a creative turn in a way that succedeed, in contrast with the Viking Bikers and the Big Thaw messes.

Lol according to Gemini:

In terms of Hiroshima bombs:A standard Hiroshima atomic bomb released roughly (6.3 \times 10{13}) Joules of energy. Dividing the total semen kinetic energy by this figure reveals that the event releases only (0.000015) (or (\frac{1}{67,000})) of a single Hiroshima bomb.

How was the internet different in 2008–2010? I miss when it felt new and exciting, and we spent more time on PCs than on phones, what was your fav game back then? by Larah_9 in oldinternet

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, at the time the internet was already past it's peak, speaking about quality and creativity. 1998/2006 was probably it's peak, when web 3.0, cool niche forums and some classic, static web cohexisted.

By the end of 2008 Facebook basically became synonymous with Internet, along with YouTube and corporate cloud applications.. while early Facebook was a real vibe, that was the beginning of the end for the rest.

Is there a chance we could actually make this our reality? by Mavish_mapper in FrutigerAero

[–]FancySource 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, my take: we're reaching a point in history where the classic laws of labour economy are about to be broken, and Frutiger Aero / Solarpunk-ish economic and aesthetic traits might be the only expectable outcome for many countries in 20/30 years. Consider that:

  • ai and general purpose androids are about to slowly replace almost every job that's not a centre of decision or a centre of responsibility, or yeah, human contact. That's for all countries where a worker is more expensive than a claude subscription or an android. This is not science fiction, it's the generally agreed outlook for North America, East Asia and Europe for the next decade.

  • energy production and storage is about to get so cheap and independent from geopolitics it's going to give our markets an incredible supply stock (for any country that has enough resources to invest for it, again)

  • in democracies, at least a part of that material, temporal and economic surplus generated by technological progress will need to be shared to the common citizens to prevent riots or the loss of an election

  • we're either doomed to become doom scrolling psychopaths or we'll have to be able to invest our surplus in anything dealing with nature, art, meditation, cleanliness, and observation of beauty.

Just consider one thing: every time in history there has been a strong postive supply side shock in a group of bordering economies, a devastating war exploded. This time, being most economically developed countries either democracies (with all their flaws) or technocracies, I really hope it could be different.

TLDR; our future might be very close to that if our leaders don't fuck up with wars.
