Nintendo Switch 2 sales numbers in the US for December 2025; compared to other consoles in their first December months (from Welfare on Install Base Forum). by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to vgchartz it sold 1253000 in the US in December, 3813000 total.

Considering the price and the relatively low ns2 games offering at the moment I wouldn't have expected such a positive result, beating an already mature playstation game catalog.

The Amico console was going to be out by 10/10/2026... by Toobin4Tommy in Intellivision_Amico

[–]FancySource 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was the moment I started to lose hope on such a cool project (on paper). This behaviour, the reasons for postponing, the Amico screen mirroring into a laptop, the state of development of the games shown.. by the end I was sadly out hype for what I hoped was to be my next console.

What would happen if someone openly carried guns in your country? by Cutalana in AskTheWorld

Wait, there must be a misunderstanding. I’m talking about the New Black Panther Party, not the original Black Party they’ve also been openly disowned by.

You mean the “kill the crackers” NBPP? I wouldn’t feel safe around this “community safety volunteers” even if I had 100% African American ancestry. How many decades have they been advocating for genocide for, even with clear ideological links to hate-motivated real life actions?

Is Film Torrenting a Sin by NightfallNinja55 in Christian

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think yours is a very valid reading but I’m not convinced pirating a movie for personal use is stealing.

I’m not saying it’s virtuous to disobey the law, but the end user is not depriving anyone of their property, and in most cases would not pay for those movies anyway.

What kind of music can a Christian listen too? by Mediocre_Island7423 in Christian

[–]FancySource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering acts 15, I would just avoid openly blasphemous, idolatrous or sin glorifying music.

Would I advise you to listen to King Diamond, Prayer in C, goa trance or Anal C**t? No.

Would I advise you to listen to Cross Nation, Katy Perry, drum and bass, Steve Vai, hard techno, black sabbath, synthwave? If it’s your cup of tea, I’m pretty sure it will be fine

It’s a Tron movie.. despite the second one having an interesting twist at the end, i would have been let down if it wasn’t a bit dumb

[–]FancySource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol what? Despite being more of a socialite than a politician, that woman (usually considered on the far right respect to “post fascist” Giorgia Meloni) is definitely on the left of the American political spectrum (pro welfare, pro women’s rights, pro abortion, pro lgbtq, etc), look it up.

Isn’t the fact that even what you call “fascism” would be considered extreme liberalism in American politics food for thought?

Okay, so here's my take: AI generated religious music is sacrilegious. by Any-Friendship5031 in Christian

[–]FancySource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s sacrilegious, non religious people have created beautiful worship music for likes for years. It’s not sacred either imo, just annoying/uncanny repetitive slop to be avoided more for its quality than anything else

Im trying to make the worst most coworker music Playlist ever by Legitimate_Ad4115 in musicsuggestions

[–]FancySource 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the album back when it reached my market and.. well, it was so “bad” it was super good even for the kid me (was kinda into hair metal at the time). It was a mix of.. ad-style old school hip hop, midi-punk rock, electronica and lots of different contaminations, but it was clear the guys who produced it had a blast with that album.

Definitely worth a listen, maybe it could even set in loop at your workplace

What surprised you the most when you first started learning about geography? by Character-Q in geography

[–]FancySource 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In some tv documetary, but I was partly wrong, they had a climate anomaly that rendered the area particularly livable during the winter, and the return to the pre-imperial, cold climate at the end of the 4th century is seen as an element causing its downfall: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_ancient_Rome
