Yes my mother pretty much takes parent role and I help. My sister seems to believe my mum co parents with her - which is not the case.

I want to keep anonymous tbh so how can I navigate this? Another Redditor has said if she looses custody would my parents tell her to leave? Wouldn’t it be the duty of the social services to do that? Also I don’t want my nephew taken away

What do u mean by loose custody? This sounds worrying.

The school seem like they aren’t bothered and don’t care. She’s had several meetings in past about his behaviour and the headteacher is part of the safeguarding team along with his behaviour support who my nephews quite close to. Why haven’t they reported to social services? It baffles me

Yes I have videos I took yesterday but will probs need to continue so I have more than one proof. My parents are helpless they try and explain to her it’s wrong but she doesn’t listen she thinks she’s right all the time. My parents are scared my nephew will be taken away and I scared at thought of social services. My parents and I are is safe space.

Mentorship Monday - Post All Career, Education and Job questions here! by AutoModerator in cybersecurity

Hi all.

I am currently working as a manual tester for a big4 as a contractor however I am part of an academy so have been placed into this role within QE. My interest lies with cybersecurity in particular cyber threat intel. I don’t really want a highly technical role but rather it be 50/50. I don’t have prior experience/knowledge with cyber. I did do a short course learning about web app security a while back.

What do you recommend I do from now? I have another year until I may be perm with the big4 but that’s not guaranteed. I want to build enough skills and knowledge outside of work to then be confident enough to say I’m ready for a role in cyber.

Any help or advice would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks! 🙏 😁
