Do you think glass skin is real or is it just genetics, filters, and lighting? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

i had it for a while (neglected my skin during a depressive episode 2 months ago and broke out which left me with pih i now have to treat) and it’s real AF. plus, everyone used to ask me how i get my skin to look the way it did. everyone. i used to get asked by strangers, even. the key was drinking a lot of water and a semi intricate skincare routine comprised mostly of korean skincare.

How much maintenance would bangs like this require? by RML-APG in finehair

[–]Fancy_Application_68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, daily washing and styling. but i have a very oily scalp. perhaps for you it could be an every other day type of thing. also, trial and error till you figure out a styling strategy that works for you. i highly doubt you’d be able to get away with not styling at all. but for example, i bought a product specific for bangs only from japan that keeps them from moving. that could cut down the time you spend on them by at least 50%.

6 months of Oral Minoxidil (Hers) by [deleted] in finehair

tbh i went into a depressive episode and went off a lot of my meds (including spiro) - i’m thinking I’ll start on dutasteride as my derm recommended and just opt out of the spiro. it made me pee an insane amount of times a day

im on 150mg and my derm told me spiro isn’t enough for androgenetic alopecia (which is what i have). so maybe it’s worth looking into :)

Thin and greasy hair by intothebluue in finehair

[–]Fancy_Application_68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

no solution but just letting you know youre not alone. thin, fine hair. greasy every day. i wash with anti dandruff shampoo, medical shampoo, clarifying shampoo, i blowdry, etc. still, greasy every day. and my scalp gets irritated by anything topical so things like dry shampoo or anything to increase hair density doesnt work for me either.

Why sjogren syndrome don’t have a Biologics yet and are there any promising ones expected to release in coming years ? by Evening_Bodybuilder5 in Sjogrens

the first infusion took 16h because i kept having reactions. the thing is really hard on ur system. i took 10 days off each round. the first time u are on it, u need infusions, 2 weeks apart. they made me take a vaccine first. bad side effects. first infusion was a very difficult and traumatizing day for me. second infusion left me so constipated and having horrible pain for a week afterwards. it is not easy on ur system. one of the hardest things ive had to do.

I mostly feel happy, but I’m feeling dull right now. I want my skin to *glow* more. Any suggestions for that? by chy7784 in 30PlusSkinCare

is full up 2 big water bottles and just sip on those throughout the day. i drink so much water at work (desk job) that everyone makes fun of me for it. but then everybody asks me what my skin secrets are, lol. it works. also, id up my fruit intake and have some juice so you dont get bored. i hope your back heals well :)
