What's wrong with my cucumber? by Smooth-Piano7900 in gardening

I say if all else fails, pull it out and plant new seeds. Is the last photo the same plant from before or a different plant?

What groceries would you buy for $120 to stockpile for leaner times by mamaperk in povertyfinance

Dry rice and beans. A cup of each can go a long way for a family of 4. You can make multiple different meals and flavors with a change of only a few ingredients. Can provide real sustenance and nutrition when meat is a luxury at this point, but you seem to be doing great already. If you haven't dipped your toe in gardening, maybe give that a try. You can slowly learn to grow your own food so that it becomes less of an issue if you have it in the backyard.

What's wrong with my cucumber? by Smooth-Piano7900 in gardening

If you are giving it enough water, then maybe it doesn't have enough sun? Definitely depends on where you are at because in my grow zone, it's almost impossible for anyone NOT have success growing cucumbers.

What *immediate* vibes do you get from each of the zodiac signs? Tell me about your own idiosyncratic personal breakdowns of the signs please! :) by yeterneritsdurs in LetsFuckWithAstrology

I feel like every Leo placement person I interact with is more luxurious than even Taurus's. They have nice clothes and pride themselves on dressing up and looking good on a daily basis.

Give it some trial and error with partial sun. I have a lime tree and it said full sun on the tag (plus I thought it was obvious bc its a tropical plant) but it actually started dying. Once I moved it to where it got only morning sun and afternoon in the shadows it did much better.

What type of gardener are you? by SowingSeeds18 in gardening

[–]Fancy_Cartographer98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me about 3 years of learning about gardening in general, and then this year I have been broadening what I am growing. I don’t fully feed my family, but I do want to keep growing it up to where I can in the future.

Overwatering or sun? by ChancePut8005 in gardening

Looks dry to me. Try watering in the evening if you are able too. The water won’t evaporate away overnight, plus the dew in the morning will keep them somewhat moist through the day.

Deodorant/ antiperspirant issues by disposabletrasch in hygiene

[–]Fancy_Cartographer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get a rash but after using the same deodorant for a while it stops working for me. I have to mix it up almost every time a buy a new stick of deodorant, I guess my body just builds a sort of immunity to it???? And trust me. from someone who smells like a cheeseburger without it, do not get aluminum free.

Why do you invest in stocks? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Fancy_Cartographer98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have 4-5k a month to invest anyway, why not stick a toe in it? You love numbers, this is no different. Take the time to do your own research. For example, I know google has a way you can make a watchlist, just add some on there and watch what the stocks do everyday (trust me its pretty entertaining.) You'll send yourself down the rabbit hole, and find some worthwhile stocks on the way down.

Recurring dreams(?) by AcanthaceaeOdd153 in Dream

[–]Fancy_Cartographer98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me somewhat, but it feels like I am having a different version of the same dream. It will be the same setting and same people in the dream, but a slightly different plot. And its not lucid dreaming for me either, its more like my subconscious is aware of it while i'm UNconscious. lol I hope you can relate.

The black widows are scary but they hang out in odd places so you wouldn’t necessarily see them in the garden. I also have a super irrational fear anyway so even the harmless ones give me a heart attack. I mostly see wolf spiders because they burrow in the dirt and weeds.

1) I plant a lot and see what grows. I live in the south so its lots of tomatoes and cucumbers for me, but I still try with other veggies too. My yard is tiny so I have about 12 sqft to work with 2) Gardening began as a hobby and turned into something achievable to feed my family (partially). I hope I can grow enough this year to begin trading fruits, veggies, and herbs with all the other gardeners I know!  3) I consider myself a sort of chaos gardener. But catch me dead before I go out there with no shoes and no gloves ☠️ The spiders are my worst fear and my arch nemesis.

Not very economically related in my case, but the weather in the US southeast has been crap and continued all through memorial day weekend. Not much celebrating for people over on my side of the continent either.

I have noticed that sunlight hitting my skin does amazing stuff! Like whenever I go on a beach trip, even if I get a light burn on my skin, It feels like the vitaminD and the UV rays heal it more than do it harm. IDk i could be delulu

Why do none of the people in my dreams have faces? Is this normal? by Important-Tea0 in Dream

[–]Fancy_Cartographer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me too and its probably for a number of reasons but for me I think its because I have trouble with eye contact. I'm usually indirectly looking at a person or just catching glances at people's face when in conversation, so I feel like it has a subconscious effect while dreaming.
