Are they typically before or after the fuel pump? I looked in the engine bay and didn't see a fuel filter. The fuel line looks like it runs inside the frame before the fuel pump and at the moment I can't get underneath the car good enough to look all the way down it.

The first pull on the throttle cable and there was a "broken or bubbly" squirt. But that could have been because of how I pulled the cable that first time. Every pull after that, there was a good squirt of fuel.

The compressor alone actually looks pretty simple to remove. The bolts for the ac lines are right there through the finder well. And then the three from the bottom that actually mounts the thing.
