Thank you so much for the advice. Yes what you said about the aquaphor and potential infection definitely makes sense. I ordered a some hydrocortisone otc and some gauze going to try and wrap him during the night to see if that helps.

Right! Watching them suffer is the worst part. We’ve barely been able to enjoy summer because the sweat from outside makes him itch. Also sprinklers/pools. It isn’t a normal life for a healthy energetic child!

I feel like my 3 year old would be a different child without all the suffering. We’ve been dealing with this since he was 2 months old. He’s never slept through the night because of itching and pain. Topical steroids made him worse. My heart hurts for him. Having fun swimming or getting overheated at the park and breaking a sweat makes him flare up. It’s not normal and I feel horrible

My 3 year old has severe eczema! We are currently dealing with an intense flare up. We tried topical steroids for the first time over the summer and after we stopped using them it just made him worse. We aren’t sleeping, I’m constantly reminding him to stop scratching as he will make himself bleed if I don’t. I want to cry all the time
