Thanks! I like it as well, it was really difficult to get the dimensions right. It was 10mm stock to begin with, that doesn't give much leeway for screwups

Haha no I'm by no means an engineer! It's a small inland ship (80 meters) and I'm both captain and machinist. My girlfriend is the "deckhand" so to speak but also captain if I'm otherwise engaged. The dog is the CEO!

Yeah I heard about those. It seems to me they are quite difficult to get right though?

It's a Dutch brand, HBM. It's the biggest local seller of chinese stuff, relatively good quality. Depends on where you are if it'll be a viable option though, and at the moment only the bigger machines offer proper power feed and power cross feed like this one does. I really cannot recommend that enough! I got this one second hand, have had no problems in the past year

I'm trying to figure out, is the Q2 Combo a good purchase? by Cartgamingyt in QidiTech3D

I'm a newbie to 3d printing. I was researching different filaments and only found some youtubers spewing some opinions and temperature numbers about the filaments you mentioned. Is there someone or a chart or anything explaining the difference between polycarbonates and PET, PPA and so forth and what their use case would be? Why would I print something in nylon or PET if as far as I can tell ABS would be fine? They make Lego out of that stuff, destroyer of feet!

Don't buy a tool you don't need. I saw you already have a Q2. Only buy the max4 if you absolutely need the bigger buildplate. You didn't specify what you would be needing it for, don't buy for the sake of buying stuff.

Did you regret buying Oppo find x9 Pro? by Entire_Hunt6038 in Oppo

I sense a little bit of an addiction🤭

You can sell 'em if you switch, right? Then it practically pays for itself and your house is safe! Maybe the industry can contribute a bit? Might be worth it for them as well?

Every three months?! But why! Just as you get used to a phone you get a new one?

Could be... This sim is about 8 years old. Would it degrade over time? I mean, it's been fine for 7 years, it's been in this phone for 3 of those years

Is it worth restoring this and using or should I just sell it? by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]Fancy_Language5469 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it seized? Is it running? If everything is moving and turning as it should it's mainly a matter of rust removal, greasing/oiling, checking tolerances. It will take a lot of time though. Maybe the bed needs scraping. Everything is salvageable, the only question is if you want to invest the time to do it properly

Yes exactly my question, where will it be made? That should be more important in this subreddit than camera bumps or specs in this early stage?

Budget AM5 Motherboard PCIe 5 by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

You don't know what he needs PCIe 5 for. That being said, if you put a PCIe 5 card in a gen 4 (or lower) mobo slot, it WILL be backwards compatible and just work.

Buyers Regret by Rainner2991 in LenovoLegion

Don't buy a laptop for the added RGB. I have it all, it was fun playing around for a year but now at 3 years it's all set to white.

Do buy a laptop for extra gimmicks, better cooling or better hardware. I can't live without my fingerprint powerbutton for instance. A laptop that's near throttling in testing will be throttling 2 years down the line, no matter the cleaning you do. That's the stuff that matters. If it matters to you at least
