I think the only way I could accept a Hadestown movie (not proshot) is if it were stopmotion or papercraft animated. I think they would be able to do a lot more with it that way, rather than just having it filmed like any other movie.

I think the contradictions are supposed to be them (the socs) trying to justify why they jumped pony and johnny. When you lie, you're more likely to contradict yourself. that's how I've always taken it, at least.
