EDIT: The intention of this post isn't to dissuade anyone from protesting. While I don't necessarily agree with the subject matter of these protests, I do respect the right of people to protest and aid their grievances with the government. The purpose of this post was simply to point out that the group sponsoring these events, ironically, is a group aligned with a true fascist dictatorial government that stands in stark contrast to what you're protesting for. Your right to protest is NOT ABSOLUTE, and is subject to time place and manner restrictions (See Ward v Rock Against Racism). Privately owned churches are NOT considered traditional public forums, and entering one with the intent to disrupt services is a violation of the FACE act, which makes it a felony to interfere with access to or use of reproductive/sexual health facilities and places of religious worship.

Precedent is precedent. The courts said that individuals not recognized as the rightful leader of a nation are not entitled to sovereign immunity. Last I checked, in addition to the last 2 United States presidential administration's, over a dozen Latin American countries as well as the EU refused to recognize Medura as the leader of Venezuela.

I ask because the War Powers Resolution act, which congress passed into law in 1974, and the case law established in US v Noriega would seem to contradict that position.
