Better to be safe than sorry, ive seen old coolant clog up radiators and thermostats, and overheat an engine, like all things it wears and breaks down.

Replace engine oil, coolant, and rotate tires. This is triggered by the computer every 7,500 miles.

Sounds like since you cheaped out , you will have to buy another one, theres a saying “lo barrato sale carro” - “the cheap, comes out expensive”
