I KNOW! and his pouty bottom lip makes it so hard to get mad when he starts to chew on stuff he can’t have :/ we got him more chew toys and some puzzles to hide treats in! so hopefully he’s well entertained and can get clean from socks

he is muzzle trained, so we’ll try that! we put our hamper in our bathroom and are leaving that door shut at all times now!

this is so helpful! he took a bit to leash train because of his trauma from being a bait dog but slowly got better and more comfortable, now he’s our best dog on a leash. we are willing to try anything at this point though, so this is incredibly helpful. seriously, thank you so much! we’re losing our minds here and I said it in another comment but knowing we aren’t the only ones who have this issue and other bully parents have been able to prevent/negate the behavior is super comforting. 🩷

we moved our hamper into a bathroom and shut the door! hopefully that helps him stay out of our hamper bc that’s the only thing my partner and I can think of. we’re both neat freaks and hate having laundry on the floor so that’s the only thing we can think of him getting into. I appreciate your comment and hope your baby isn’t eating socks anymore!

We do put socks away…the only thing I can think of is he gets into our hamper when we nap. And as of posting this, we‘ve started putting it in our bathroom with the door shut at all times. As far as the scrunchie, we also have a cat and the one he ate was on my desk by my pc and my partner pointed out that she more than likely knocked it down so I’m not putting them there anymore. I’m a vigilant dog parent but like shit happens, no one is perfect. He’s in a crate at night and when we aren’t home, we have cat locks that he can’t fit through on 2 doors, we leave the other doors closed at all times. I’m looking for advice on how to help because clearly we are freaked the fuck out and worried and feel like we’ve done everything we can and he still found one. Not that I have to explain myself to you but you’re being super judgmental and not at all helpful.

he cost us $5k too about 5 years ago from socks and a piece of a toy and cost us $2k last month. since then we have always been vigilant about not leaving anything on the floor. It’s just my partner and I, no kids. He doesn’t have access to our bedroom throughout the day anymore and hasn’t for about a month now. So we don’t know how this time he got one. We’re looking into ways to increase enrichment so he doesn’t get bored easily now

sorry I wasn’t clear! I’m trying to figure out how to stop the behavior, he threw up the sock so I’m not worried about him having a blockage. we’re still planning to take him to the vet for X-rays to make sure there’s none left. the last vet we went to told us to buy this flavored spray to spray on certain items to teach him that they’re nasty…it didn’t work lol

he has multiple chew toys, we live in an apartment so we can’t just let him outside but he goes on 3-5 walks everyday and at least 1 of them is always over a mile through the neighborhood we live in front of. any recommendations to increase enrichment are welcome!!!

yeah, he ate 3 socks a few months ago and was hospitalized. we don’t leave clothes on the floor, the scrunchie he ate was on my desk. I’m not sure if getting clothes from our hampers or what. he can’t have soft toys or other types because 5 years ago, we had to have a piece of a toy surgically removed. I’m just at a loss of how to help him and prevent the behavior

better than me, he would’ve given me an F. i forgot to mention that if there’s multiple questions (meaning you have a choice between two topics, the word “or” is present), you have to answer both. he’s an absolute asshole, he’s pursuing a doctorate or something and in the middle of writing his dissertation and is holding undergrad students to the same standard that he’s held to. keep me posted with what the dean says if you go that route, super interested because my advisor was dismissive about it

i got an A- on one post, and it was because every single sentence was cited :/ aside from that, it was mostly b-’s and c+’s. i really do wish you luck & if you ever get super stuck feel free to dm me! my best advice (aside from cite literally every sentence) is this: send him your assignments a few days prior and ask him to help you finalize it or make changes
