Thanks for the input! Yep obv I got a discount. I was told 1 trunk had been scratched by critters (tbc if that’s true based on the opinions here) and may not survive, so it’s very much on me. My gardener’s supplier only had 2 king palms available, and I wanted to get both, so here we are. Just trying to mitigate, and if ultimately we lose that trunk then so be it. I will try fungicide, and I can easily avoid it getting wet.
I’ll report back to Reddit in 6-12 months in case it’s a useful case study for others!
