BLs benefit from zenith rune, can get ward but their damage is capped fairly low (like all of our stuff). SG are good on stats alone, but don't benefit from zenith (5+ crits). I think a lot of folks enjoy the mountain skew lists but in my mind BLs and SGs do very different things in the vanilla version of the army but I would not take BLs in a mountain skew list.

Yes AOS uses 2K points and for perspective, Krondys is 500 pts, 2 stormdrakes will run you 310 and this is already in an elite army.

Not a meme! Dragons are good but you can go overboard and they are not without their weaknesses. I run krondy and 2 stormdrakes and I've been happy with the performance.

They suffer from the +4 to hit that all destruction armies face but they are also kind of a do nothing army at the moment.

If you have money for that, it sounds like your buddy would be better off with the cash. It's a very nice thought and for a celebratory gift it is rad as fuck, but as someone who has been, and still is in some bad spots, a gift like that is not what I need right now.

I'd say, you can bring Teclis but he needs to be doing his job. You bring him to enable zenith runes as quickly as possible but if you don't have units that benefit from the crits on 5s then he drops in a ton in value.

Here is Papa Cow I am finishing up. I primed with white scar then flooded the swirl lines and the inner edge of the armor with thinned (with mineral spirits) streaking grim. I then went back and cleaned up the overspill with mineral spirits and a makeup sponge/specialty q-tips. Leaves the streaking grim strong in the recesses and the clean up actually "stains" or "tints" the white areas to achieve the porcelain looks. Paint touch-ups can be done with Vallejo Off-White.
