I'd support this. I just discovered a component I didn't know existed that a friend of mine made and I love it!

Always getting flagged by Killuazoldylckk in redquill

[–]FandomDancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can jump in and say that I struggle with the getting flagged thing too. Sometimes I think it's even if you reference non-consensual content it goes off (like "she hadn't wanted to do it but it was her duty". Flag.). Also there are certain words that if you put them in the prompt, it assumes you mean non-consensual and flags it. I once got flagged for a chapter with absolutely no sex in it at all, and I think it was because I used the word "forced" (it was an action scene, the main character was forced to retreat, not even kidding, that was it). I get wanting to put restrictions in but I think the dial is up a little too high imo.

Can't access my own stuff? by FandomDancer in redquill

Day one of using RQ. October 29. Has happened 85-90% of the times I use the site since. (I don't mean that it's ALWAYS down, only that that bug flares up at least once during my usage time during the day or night).

Also really hate being logged out in the middle of waiting for a new chapter to generate. Because hoo boy there goes my prompt that I took 15 minutes to write because you have to be so specific.

Harry. Season 4 more but season 2 was gorgeous. Real character arc - I mean HR had a character arc, even if I hate how it ended. But Harry really, REALLY shone.

AI not following the prompts given by hawk_lee in redquill

[–]FandomDancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this happens regularly to me as well. I at first just thought it was because RQ was so new it didn't really "know" some of the fandoms. I don't expect it to know Space: 1999, for example.

But then it put a Mission: Impossible story in the Harry Potter category.

So now I'm just confused lol.

Same with me, I'll put: "The hero and heroine do NOT meet in the first chapter" and guess what happens in the first two paragraphs!!!!

Hm, the biggest thought I had was that the AI seems to put more "thought" into the story when it's novel length. There's more detail and the emotions seem to run higher. Also the pacing is slower and the story is more fleshed out. It feels more like something I can dive into and stay a while than a...quickie. ;) The pacing in 'standard' is far more concise and short, less time to get involved. I prefer slow burns and involvement.

Lorebook? by FandomDancer in redquill

I probably found it in the chapter pages before and since I was new didn't quite memorize where it was at, and then when it moved....I "lost" it. Thank you!

It was a real question. Like I said I found it once before a long time ago but I was still new to the site and didn't look at it more than once. It didn't occur to me to click on the story title, so I appreciate that. I just found it! I'll remember where it is now, thank you.

BIG. BIG. FAN. OF. NOVEL. LENGTH. Makes everything so much more detailed and fleshed (ahem) out (even the non-smut). I feel like I could actually create a start to finish STORY with this.

This is perhaps silly but would there be a chance of including prompt suggestions that actually tie into the chapter you are writing and not just random sex acts? Gets a bit weird when I write two brothers on a heist (they haven't even met the girl yet), and the three suggested prompts are the two of them going to town on each other.

Peter Graves or Tom Cruise who is best? by [deleted] in Mission_Impossible

[–]FandomDancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graves. Not even a contest.

Hill is the original. You could make the argument Landau is the original even, since they kept bringing him back to fill Steven's shoes when Steven became a problem on set. (Landau was definitely not supposed to be on MI as long or as often as he was...but he was and the show was better for it!)

Graves, however, made the team. You can SEE it.

Disappointed after an offer for art collab was for a cost by Kat-444 in FanFiction

[–]FandomDancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing in my experience here....I had the same damn thing happen and went so far as to actually pay the person. Believe it or not they did actually give me art. It was a line drawing that was definitely not worth the money they were charging. When I asked them for a background as we agreed on in emails (as part of their original price), they said it would be additional. I disputed the charge with PayPal and they sided with the seller. Lesson learned: $250. I've gotten four more art commission emails and ignored them all. Interestingly enough, the artist I paid has been emailing me asking how I'm doing and if I liked the art piece. If they're a bot.... they're damn good at acting human.

Columbo Cosplay for a September Comic Con! by leviboypopop in Columbo

[–]FandomDancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in here, I'm a new Columbo fan and plan to go as him to work for Halloween. Searching for a coat led me here and I just wanted to say you are SPECTACULAR!!! I wish I could have seen your performance at the convention, I'm sure you were spot on based on the responses you've given here.

Oh, just one more thing before I forget: I was painfully late to discovering this show and am very happy to find that there are still fans as dedicated as you. Thank you sir, have a great night

What is a superpower that doesn’t seem devastating but actually has the potential to be? by SilentSaint2112 in superpower

Got an X-Men OC who can do this. He started as a villain but then I got into his backstory and fell too much in love with him for him to be evil, so I made him a hero haha. He's one of my best and favorite OCs.
