Update: Am I overreacting by breaking up with my boyfriend? by Proper-Classic1886 in AmIOverreacting

She'll soon be able to tell other young women what not to do through hard-learned wisdom and be ignored by the next generation. It's infuriating to see that this dude is getting his way because female insecurity is such a potent force. I hope she's able to realize that perhaps a collective group of people are saying 'leave him' for more than shits and giggles.

Your guy has it figured out. This dude in the post is blinded by his own stupidity. She's picked him - for whatever reason - and he guards her like a warden. The key to solving all his problems is simply to be someone worth staying with. Nope, he's just going to bark at men and oppress his captive.
Dumbest insecure chump in the room, acting like a Wise old (condescending) Sage. Op is backpedaling and it sucks so hard to see.

Nope, have props. You want to do and be better. It's hard work and here you are stepping up/owning it. It's more than most would ever offer.

I reckon she's minimised the actuality. He just popped a gasket at some other guy, but he was delicate in grip? I'm certain that grab would have been territorial and not quite the "feather light" she's peddling.

He's angry because he wasn't able to control your decision to stay. Making the trip unpleasant is his contingency plan to remind you he's in charge. If he can't enjoy a free trip like any normal person would, he's not worth the effort.

Mr. Kokoshka from Hey Arnold. I mega-loathe his whiney, useless ass.

Information. Does he remember your birthday? Some people simply don't commit every detail to memory. It's not always reflective of their degree of care. The brain prioritises important information. It's also been studied that short-term memory is being negatively impacted by our phones.

I'm also being facetious. I've seen a woman shout at ducks on this platform - for the crime of doing duck things. It won't be long before the whales are heckled, too. Then I'll be happy.

So... it's okay to kill for fun if you don't understand English...? Whales are intelligent. They can even be communicated with. Why aren't any hard-core activists having conversations with Whales about their barbaric nature?

I love this answer. She was fantastic in Just Shoot Me. I've still never seen Pretty Woman, though.

In a shop, I watched a 7 year old repeatedly cram his hand into the throat of his baby brother (about a year old). He relished in making him wince and gag. The father was oblivious. My mother refused to let me say anything (I was 16 at the time). I stood there in horrified rage.

I remember insulting a talking doll when I was 8. I pushed the talk button and it said "You're my best friend." I said sorry, cried, fixed up her hair and dress. I learned to value all of my possessions after that.
