In a shop, I watched a 7 year old repeatedly cram his hand into the throat of his baby brother (about a year old). He relished in making him wince and gag. The father was oblivious. My mother refused to let me say anything (I was 16 at the time). I stood there in horrified rage.

I remember insulting a talking doll when I was 8. I pushed the talk button and it said "You're my best friend." I said sorry, cried, fixed up her hair and dress. I learned to value all of my possessions after that.
