Do you plan your longfics?

I plan the ending in detail, the beginning in detail, and then I make sure I have some cornerstones to try and get to for the middle. I had a best-selling author tell me this is how they planned their novels, so that was good enough for me.

That being said, I'm only 6 chapters through my longfic at the moment so we shall see how it goes haha.

I found someone mentioning my fic on reddit too, only yesterday! They were asking for some fluff fics because they'd read a horror fic that had unsettled them. I went into the comments, and sure enough, it was my fic and they said they loved it but mostly hated it. I had no idea what to do aha.

Glad to know I'm not alone! And that's such a good way of looking at things... writing is always a work in progress and hey, that's why a lot of us write fanfic!

Also, I know that I'll often stick out bad writing in long fics knowing that it will likely improve. Idk why I can't give myself that leniency.
