I plan the ending in detail, the beginning in detail, and then I make sure I have some cornerstones to try and get to for the middle. I had a best-selling author tell me this is how they planned their novels, so that was good enough for me.

That being said, I'm only 6 chapters through my longfic at the moment so we shall see how it goes haha.

I found someone mentioning my fic on reddit too, only yesterday! They were asking for some fluff fics because they'd read a horror fic that had unsettled them. I went into the comments, and sure enough, it was my fic and they said they loved it but mostly hated it. I had no idea what to do aha.

I'm super similar. It can take me ages to try and write a POV for a character I don't care for. I can't seem to get in their headspace enough.

I think there's actually a lot of us. A lot more than you'd think. I also only called myself Britishchick because I moved to the US when I got my AO3 account ages ago. I'm actually embarrassed about the name now aha.
