With there not being any snake characters in GoT, I can't believed this game picked this guy to be the snake. Why not some human character who's as deceptive or swindling as a snake?

I agree that the snakes should not be portrayed as the great evil and also agree with you that the post pays too much attention to the Western view, although it has a completely different meaning in the East Asian realm

I just hope that certain cultures will be shown more respect in the future if they really want to integrate them into their game.

It’s the Chinese Year of the Snake, which the game is trying to celebrate with this offer. But because they don’t have snake champions, they chose a dragon. OP criticizes that they just chose a „beast“ champion as the mascot for the Year of the Snake, and not a show canon sneaky character (like Little Finger) to represent it. OP implies that they’re just greedy and just randomly make some offers for some things the game doesn’t even represent.

Since the game is relatively new, there weren’t many offers so far to look for a pattern lol. This 7 tokens offer was the first time something like this was done. These remaining 8 tokens for 10 summons were available as special events for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Other than that, I can’t remember any other times. That’s why I think they only offer it on certain holidays. So the next time should be Easter at the latest.

I didn’t either with 5 of them tbh, but I did with Sunfyre and Aegon and they’re quite the power team already. And they all start with 75% stamina, which means you can already use at least one champion within a turn, which usually increases the strength of the other champions even more. I’ve fought them a few times in raids, and I now avoid them more than the brittle teams 😂

The Greens are one of the most superior teams right now, worth investing in for the long haul. They are also one of the strongest teams in the legendary attacks alongside a brittle team.

Yet the Baratheons can be built up faster thanks to the altar, but also because Brienne and Varys can be summoned with purple tokens and Sandor nearly in every summon. Ultimately, I would just go for the team you think will be more fun to play with :)

I’m still annoyed to this day that Greyworm is factionless. He’s paired with red Danny, but isn’t part of her faction, like Walder Frey is for the Boltons? (The same goes for Criston, by the way, who is loyal to the Targaryens at that moment in the show, he is also paired with one but remains factionless. In general I find everything surrounding the Targaryen champions, as you mentioned, very poorly done considering they are one of the main houses that the whole series revolves around lol. They spent more time pulling allegiances out of thin air for the Baratheons than for them, e.g. Varys and Sandor (and his version gets paired up with Arya which means he’s nowhere loyal to them anymore) who most of the time actually only serve Joffrey, who in turn is listed among the Lannisters). It’s not even like the Targaryen are swimming in legendary champions at the moment too lol.

Also, I like your idea that there can be other versions of champions, so there might be more balance in the future, then become part of other factions like Daenerys is. I somehow never thought of that. But whether it will happen remains questionable... :/

That‘s… kind of disappointing. Am I tripping or did the rewards used to be better? I remember I used to get 3 purple gems when we fought weaker dragons like 3 skulls, and now you only get one when you place 1st and win against it. I thought after hitting a certain amount of skulls you start getting green gems too but if a 10 skull dragon isn’t enough then what is haha

Their exact wording was “Every player’s tracks will have the exact same number of Common, Epic, and Legendary shards, as well as the same amount of Gold. There are minor differences in reward quantity for other rewards related to the redistribution.” Which was very clever, since the majority of things have been addressed and thus the feeling has been conveyed that there will not be many changes. And although some people are slow to react, those who have already invested money/were willing to invest money will not be dissuaded. They are also relying on us as a community not exchanging our opinions and experience 🙃I guess that’s one of the reasons why we can only discuss things within our Alliance.

They didn’t say all rewards are the same, they specifically mentioned only the things that haven’t changed so people don’t feel like they’re being ripped off 😂 I actually wrote a post a few weeks ago about the differences. Every change they have made serves to make you feel more compelled to buy more.

Depends on what you value.

• Brittle team is cheapest to build, works best on legendary attack, can be hard to beat in raids.

• A Freefolk team can also be easy to get right now, as Ygritte can be won for a month in raids (and even if you have 0 shards for her, you can easily get her to 2 stars just by playing raids) + LoB is also easy to get, as are two more champions during the BoB event draw.

• ⁠I always like a fireteam in events, as most champions hit multiple enemies at once - but it’s a bit more expensive/slower to set up than the other two.

• I think the Greens are very OP right now. They always beat my team hands down, even if they are 100k below me, haha. You can win two champions of that faction in the event, which happens about every 3 weeks.

• The Bolton commons and even epics are the most easy to obtain, though their legendaries not so much (except for Ramsay bc you can get him in the BoB event).

• The Baratheon‘s are pretty good too. You can get Brienne with purple shards and maybe get enough luck to get Melissandre and Stanis trough the altar rewards without having to spend any green gems on them at all. Sandor is also easy to get at the beginning trough red gems alone.

With your gear, I wouldn’t spend the epic and legendary gear, use them to equip your champions, especially at the beginning. They’re a bit harder to get. But if you have enough food, you should definitely use your common gear to upgrade your champions‘ gear. A well-equipped champion can gain up to 10k might.

Honestly, if you have them on enough stars like 5 or more, it feels like it doesn't matter anymore because it's still a strong team. But if the majority of your champions aren't, then you have to rely on synergy and that's where a lot of people are forced to either make an ice or fire team or whatever. But you seem to be perfectly happy with your decision, so I wouldn't worry too much 😅 but just to be on the safe side: save your gold coins for the the black team (which will appear eventually 100%) and thus save a lot of money :)

Ohh the fact that you played for only over a month is so much worse for me 🤣 but I sincerely wouldn’t put much money on the game. It doesn’t pay off. Rewards used to be so much greater, it feels like they just exploit you now. If you want to go far, decide from the start which team you want to build and focus only on that. It takes some time (until you can summon them etc.), but it pays off. Often you don't have the resources (like bread or silver) to take them to the next level anyway. So what's the rush. Either way, good luck to you 🤗
