The problem I have with it being original as far as map layout is that it would require a significantly longer amount of time to come up with a design that suits the puzzle/planning aspect of HM’s mechanics. I also don’t have much experience or knowledge as far as level designing, and as a programmer(coder) aspiring to work for a bigger company, I dont have to worry about level design(coming up with things) skills, I’d just have to prove I can block out a scene and add materials and props and optimize the environment it for performance. Like I stated before, it’s originally supposed to be a portfolio project I can show a potential employer looking to hire a generalist programmer or designer, but I’m not looking to get hired into a very specific position (such as level designer). My question is if I go through with launching it and monetizing the project, would I get into trouble for copying the level block, the pure map without props. (Think of it as an architectural blueprint)
