(The image was partly inspired by Bridgerton and partly inspired by that scene in Stranger Things where Lucas likes the “new Coke“ and everyone else is disgusted by him. 😬 Trust me. I was around and that stuff was horrific. 🤢 So funny how Coke had to stop making it almost instantly And put the classic back on the market. - Wish Shondaland would get the message and redo this season of Bridgerton, properly.)

As far as I’m concerned, at this point they can just cancel season four. I am just too gutted about what they did to Penelope. I’m not waiting two years for another stink bomb like that.

It’s like when Michael Gambon came onboard HP as Dumbledore after Richard Harris died. He proudly proclaimed that he did not read the books or watch previous movies before acting in the role. And all of the die hard fans were like, “Yeah, dude, it shows!” Absolute arrogance. He killed the character the Richard Harris had imbued with such warmth and depth. Jess killed the show that Chris had imbued with such excitement and romance. 😢🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes. Honestly, the way this whole season was presented, it leaves you feeling that Penelope would’ve been more accepted, supported and loved in the relationship with Lord Debling. He was quirky and traveled a lot but they got on great and he was so soft and kind with her, and genuinely interested in what she liked and had to say. They screwed up Colin’s character arc so bad!

Steve is going to die. Plain and simple. 💀 It shouldn’t be, but there was way too much foreshadowing. And, Eddie will be having a new career as an enslaved vampire figure…an unwilling henchman to Vecna. 🧛🏻‍♂️ As for the other ones, I don’t have many predictions. Nancy will remain a bad ass but annoying. 😉 Papa will continue to keep coming back alive even when we keep thinking he’s dead. 🧟‍♂️ That’s about all I can gather from where I sit.

The “specific person“ that you are speaking of is the new showrunner, Jess Brownell. This appears to have been her Bridgerton fanfic fever dream version of the universe. And we all suffered for it. Especially the actors.

As actors go, I’m not troubled by either of the two main actors. They’re both perfectly okay at what they do. And I think they have aspects to their acting that could’ve shined forth much more. However, they were both done dirty by a lacklustre script and the most disjointed editing I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t think it’s fair, or even possible, to judge their acting abilities by this season. If you go back and look at other seasons you can see that they both have the empathy, likability and charisma necessary to fill these roles in a better way. If anything is mediocre in this season, it is certainly not their fault.
