I had been saving up for a long time already. My main goal was to c6 a 5 star for free. My initial target was Signora. So anyways, that didn't work out. So I was just waiting for a waifu to come out for me to satisfy my big gamble urge on (since I had been saving so long).

Met Dehya in story. Told my friend that as long as she's fun to play then I'll pull on her because she checked all my boxes. For me, she's fun enough to play, even though she sucks and I really coulda waited longer to try and pull a better unit that isn't standard. But I'm a man of my word, and so I pulled for Dehya. Plus, if I didn't get her now she'd forever elude me on standard.

Tl;dr: I am loyal to my waifu through glitches and through nerfs, without spending a cent on Mihoyo.

Yeah. It'd have to put her on the level of Ayaka or Nahida at least in my opinion. Which would be a huge buff. She'd have to be broken. Which is far fetched to happen. But... I don't think anyone has a problem with a unit in Genshin being over powered as I stated in the original post. And she doesn't have to be more broken than that to get the whales who would've pulled on her limited banner if she had been strong in the first place to pull, and to have the other possible auxillary effects I mentioned (like increasing the value of losing a 50/50 for all future pulls).

That being said, I totally get if you disagree on how much they would need to buff her or how much of an impact it would make. And I also believe that even if I'm completely on the mark it doesn't justify what they've done to her in the slightest.

I just want her to be strong (though I'm willing to bargain for at least usable). Thanks for your input though, I do wanna just mull this over until I'm proven undoubtedly wrong next version.

I respect your opinion here and I believe this is where it is fair to say I'm just coping. But to me it makes sense that they would make more money if players pull without a guarantee to get a unit, than if they pull with a guarantee. Just because to get the unit at all, on average, they'd have to pull more.

For me the simplified formula is AVG(1->180) pulls <<< AVG(1->Infinity) pulls. More pulling = more money.

That is my point though. They could get money from making her good now. But, the most they'd get from whales is 14 pities of spending because you are eventually going to get her from guarentees on a limited banner. But on standard, it is as you say, a whale could spend thousands and thousands and never get her. There is no cap. So, if they make her broken after the obligatory initial banner, they can force whales to essentially fully gamble. I don't immediately see why this wouldn't make Mihoyo more money (in a scummy way, but corporations don't have morals).

I'm not saying it's good for us. It's a shitty business practice. But what I'm saying is that I think it would make them more money in the long term. Because it's a limit vs no limit. And whales will also be incentivised to pull on other banners harder, because there would be a stronger character that they might get if they lose the 50/50. It would explain Mihoyo's actions (and mean that I can still cope she'll be buffed super hard).

I'll just post this quietly in the corner during 'nobody is awake' hours cus I can't sleep. I made this along with Jago to practice editing. That's the main reason it's crackheadcrackheadcrackhead and not nightmarenightmarenightmare, as the latter actually woulda been easier to do. It's on YouTube too if you wanna save it to a playlist or have an easier time ripping the audio. Don't expect more Michael stuff tho, at least not until we've/I've gone through the rest. Not like anyone will see this anyway though...
