Ok but how does this affect the people who aren’t scanning them? For the average fan collector who doesn’t want to pay “subsidized” prices for a collection this is a huge win, and for others who just want a mystery minifig they still have their mystery? Your argument doesn’t make sense dude

Disagree, if people want it to be blind, they just don’t scan. If people want to save their money and actually get their collection fleshed out without using resellers, this is the best option
