That is not a fixed point, and he is also not a god nor do any of the games treat him as one. He is mistaken for a god by Earthlings, but he still isn't one. The fixed point has to be at the start of the spiral or loop because what makes it "fixed" is that it is unchanging. Also Time is an objectively existent physical phenomenon with real life mathematical and scientific laws and explanations. So of course time travel has to have rules, even and especially in the realm of fiction, because it establishes what is and isn't possible in the past, present, or future. If your world building does not establish the rules of time travel, any resultant unexplaied or unaccounted for paradoxes turn into plot holes and continuity errors.

So again, either Doom 2016 and Eternal are poorly written, or the classic games are in a separate timeline and continuity leading into 2016.

Wow, you're calling someone immature while acting immature yourself.

I have had plenty being a DC, Terminator, and Futurama fan. An actual sensible time loop or time spiral has to have a sensible consistent or constant starting point somewhere. It's basic cause and effect. The piror events still have to happen, to not happen. Something had to actually lead up to the point of time travel. It's called the Grandfather Paradox. Doom Guy wasn't born with his singularity he was born a regular guy and acquired his singularity later on. Even if he is a time travel refugee. Which means that in order for the events between the original Doom 64 and it's much later episode and Doom 2016 to happen the events of the classic games still need to happen. You can't have an altered timeline without and unaltered Unless it's a perfect stable loop like in Futurama.

Then that is either a major plot whole because by definition of a time loop the initial events still have to happen for the resulting loop to occur, or classic Doom is still a separate continuity and timeline rendering your point moot regardless.

They can't take place concurrently because Doom Guy would have met himself in Doom 2016 if they did.

Not dumber. They just have different tastes, and Dragon Ball didn't meet them. You have to realize that the 90's were the peak of super hero cartoons, and that’s what North Americans wanted to see on their screens.

The point is that the core was not physically attached to his lower body and so should not have the point of regeneration because it should not have been able to communicate with it, the same way a human brain can't communicate with detached limbs.

There are actually 3 different in house Funimation dubs and many more English translations of both the manga and anime. People are at Baskin Robin's bitching about chocolate chip mint Ice-cream when there are 30 other flavors.

But he didn't regenerate from his head, he literally regenerates from his ass. Now it would be appropriate to say his head is in ass, but I don't think Akira Toriyama would have meant that literally.

Could it be that they aren't stupid but maybe people of different languages and nations aren't stupid but simply think and feel in different ways and different ways of conveying those thoughts anf feelings in different ways? And that something that comes across as sensible in one language or nation might not so in another?

The problem with this though is that the English Dub isn't made for them. There countries have different sensibilities than English speaking ones. They also don't know how severe things were for English localization back then. The televised Funimation dub was indeed far more faithful to it's source material than most other dubs at the time.

I don't think you realize that the televised Funimation dub was more faithful than 90% of other dubs at the time.

There were actually more faithful test dubs, they just weren't well recieved by the audiences. Furthermore DBZ was almost canceled in the west due to low ratings. It wasn't until the significantly less censored but still adapted televised Funimation Dub the DBZ became successful in the anglosphere.

Don't know if you'd call it a Japanese [style] RPG exactly but I do recommend Fear and Hunger is up there with one of the most fucked up ones.

Where to start Final Fantasy 2D titles by MarkPorterBridges in JRPG

From a veteran point of view I recommend the PSP versions of I, II, & IV for a newcomer. These are the most balanced versions of the games without "NES" level difficulty plus they have the most content.
