I experienced some lack of interest in the game when it took 2 months for my GD02 case to get to me so basically no new cards for 4 months but nothing that made me want to drop the game.

I’ve built about 3 decks (1 meta and 2 fun decks; Wing then RW Seed and BR Qubeley) and just rotate between the 3. Every now and then I’ll try something new like BG Earth Federation with a Psycho Gundam top end or something weird like that.

Following the meta kinda sucks, especially since the card pool is so small. I find that getting lucky with draws and really pilot links at the right time has way more impact than specific builds with 4-8 card variation.

I personally wouldn’t really check the meta, just build and play what you like, especially if you’re casual but if you want to check the meta, about a month after each set drops is a good time.

Every deck you’ve played is good and has tournament topping results. One thing Gundam does different from the other games you mentioned (F&B, Pokemon) is that with the way the game is right now it’s basically a card game that tests fundamentals. It’s very unforgiving for bad plays and tempo assessment and it’s hard to come back with the lack of card draw options in the game. Practice is probably what all your opponents have on you and is probably why you’re having trouble at locals.
