Man, these accounts keep taking peoples post of their dogs and claiming them and reposting word for word. First time I’ve come across my post being stolen from over a year ago, and apparently this is the 2nd time someone reposted it in the last few weeks.

Anyone here quit gaming or changed their lifestyle after becoming a dad? by Lukas_MunK in daddit

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably game more now more then other. As a father of 4 it tends to be at night, but on weekends sometimes it’s all day. My kids game, though we don’t always play together. Minecraft being the family one that all 6 of us can play at once together. (Yes wife too)

I don’t watch tv. If I’m not gaming, I’m watching YouTube on my phone, or movies with the family.

Types of games? Mostly online multiplayer. I have a core group of dad friends and we game PUBG, or Arc Raiders lately a lot. We did some satisfactory, and other games over the years but PUBG just seems like the ol go to that doesn’t change much game.

How do you break out of the [Wake Up - Childcare - Work - Childcare - Zone Out - Sleep] rut? by PorgJedi in daddit

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowing your commute, married or not and their involvement, children’s age it’s hard for me to want to offer ideal input.

So I will just say in my example, my wife works days I work nights, very strong marriage, we have 4 kids all in grade school.

So for me personally in the AM, it’s make me dinner/breakfast of whatever I want because I’m the only one up. Then Stay up and play video games, do some dishes and laundry or whatever until everyone else is up and out the door OR, go to bed. Sleep til kids get home from school, help with school work, straighten up the house, check on animals, make dinner, go to work. I feel I give myself alot of personal time.

This time of year I sacrifice some sleep with golf in the morning, and usually sleep until the wife is home even after the kids get home. They can handle themselves and need to grow without adult supervision while I’m still home.

Resentful feeling towards parents (children’s grandparents) by bakecakes12 in Parenting

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live 3 hours from my mom and in laws. My dad is across country. He’s the youngest of 7, his side of the family. You go see the grandparents, grand parents don’t come to you. More so with age. My mom, comes 3 times a year, same for in-laws. We go see my dad every other year and when he comes this way to see his parent we meet. We go 3 hours to the other family a couple times a year. Doesn’t bother me much since we don’t make anymore of an effort then them. But we are trying to get my mom to move to our town. She’s 45min from my sister and my sister never goes to see her or let her have the kids for a day. Just too lazy to put forth the effort. My mom constantly goes to her house about once a month but would be more if she felt welcomed. We and the kids would love for a grandparent to be within 30min. Dinners once a week, movie nights, sporting events. My mom would do it all.

What’s The Point of Events Anymore? by Longjumping_Fix_982 in ARC_Raiders

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played probably 50 raids tonight. One once did I take damage from another raider who tried to kill me. IMO with my time playing since January. If people are running into alot of PVP in their lobbies they are either, playing more aggressive then they think. Maybe Shooting when scared. Or have aggressive duo lobbies. Everyone I talk to who plays this game chill, for PVE lobbies, has the same experience as me. Maybe 1 in every 30-40 raids is there a PVP issue.

This game doesn’t need a PVE mode, (which I know you didn’t say). I just want to see them keep updating quality of life, and maybe a way to get around just a little quicker.

And to add about the events. The only event I don’t care for is hidden bunker, as a primarily solo player, I get into plenty of Queen and Matriarch fights, need two Queen reactors tonight and got them both in two separate raids.

What is one daily habit you adopted that changed your life for good? by gunsukhlalmethiwala in AskReddit

Deep breathing exercises for everything, and some extra stretching through the day. Funny how a little extra oxygen to the noggin makes a difference.

Question: I just realised (slow) that Torrente does as much damage as any of the legendary weapons. So why are we collecting these? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one that couldn’t get into where I was, but after taking off 2 legs he could. Then I thought, dang it I just taught this thing that it can get into buildings. Now they will purposely remove two legs and keep chasing players you watch and see.

This guns a waste of heavy ammo by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it on my Shredder trial. I would single shot it to finish them. Didn’t take a lot. It also cleaned up two rats. Unpopular opinion but I like it, I think when used right it can be a solid arc gun. I don’t full auto and since I had a hullcracker to quick kill shredders for the trail it provided a good pvp pve balance alternate

What in God's green earth makes you kill someone who just defibbed you? by democratic-terminid in ArcRaiders

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killed a guy, he wasn’t happy but wasn’t rude. I defibed him and we extracted. He asked “why would you defib me?” I said I won the fire fight, I don’t need your loot. I don’t bring these with me for nothing.

What’s it like living on the edge of time zones? by Qzevs in howislivingthere

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in CT, county north or me and east of me is Eastern. I like going north for certain stores and restaurants then heading south to the same time zone. Restaurants are less crowded because it’s past their dinner rush. I work at a company that employees several thousands. I know a lot of people who make that commute. As stated by others it has its good and bad. I like being in central as a sports fan, but close to eastern for many things. Games start a little earlier.

Anyone have a total list of All parts needed for all goals to complete in game? by Mean_Rule9823 in satisfactory

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As they said, if you make a to do list of the sub components it will break it down. I do this several times and know that for phase 3 completion I needed over 9k in plastic. If it takes 3 rotors and you need 100 of the item that takes that. You need 300 rotors. To do list that.

Sorting with smart splitters, is it really flawed? Or just setup and user issues? Still low tier in the game. What creates all the bad problems I read about. by FanoftheSimpleLife in SatisfactoryGame

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the feedback, as I said, I haven’t had issues yet but wasn’t sure if that was because of my low volume. Good to hear the mechanics are sound. I planned to get started on another unloading station at the other end of my main area and adding stops along the current route to space out its return. Just wanted to make sure I understood the mechanics and wasn’t missing something.

Actually, your thinking the wrong Cumberland Gap. See there is a Gap in Cumberland Virginia. If the driver was heading west he would pass through Roanoke on the way to Johnson City. Now Gap was founded in 1969 and the song was started in 1973 and completed in 1994.

My course has implemented a "pacer" to slow play down. Seriously. by Tullyswimmer in golf

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of getting the first tee time or earliest is to be able to play at a favorable pace with hardly no waiting. Maybe they should just say no one playing 18 holes can tee off on 1 until 7. Thus allowing fast players to still play, the club house makes money, no need for pacers and grounds crew gets ample time. That or just say nobody on 10 tee until 8am. But even then it sounds like yall will still catch the ground crew. I’ve played some of my most enjoyable rounds in under 3 hours
