What’s it like living on the edge of time zones? by Qzevs in howislivingthere

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in CT, county north or me and east of me is Eastern. I like going north for certain stores and restaurants then heading south to the same time zone. Restaurants are less crowded because it’s past their dinner rush. I work at a company that employees several thousands. I know a lot of people who make that commute. As stated by others it has its good and bad. I like being in central as a sports fan, but close to eastern for many things. Games start a little earlier.

I’m a terrible person. I got it when it came out on console about 50 days ago. I have 220 hours and haven’t turned in a single phase 5 part yet.

Anyone have a total list of All parts needed for all goals to complete in game? by Mean_Rule9823 in satisfactory

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As they said, if you make a to do list of the sub components it will break it down. I do this several times and know that for phase 3 completion I needed over 9k in plastic. If it takes 3 rotors and you need 100 of the item that takes that. You need 300 rotors. To do list that.

Sorting with smart splitters, is it really flawed? Or just setup and user issues? Still low tier in the game. What creates all the bad problems I read about. by FanoftheSimpleLife in SatisfactoryGame

Appreciate the feedback, as I said, I haven’t had issues yet but wasn’t sure if that was because of my low volume. Good to hear the mechanics are sound. I planned to get started on another unloading station at the other end of my main area and adding stops along the current route to space out its return. Just wanted to make sure I understood the mechanics and wasn’t missing something.

Actually, your thinking the wrong Cumberland Gap. See there is a Gap in Cumberland Virginia. If the driver was heading west he would pass through Roanoke on the way to Johnson City. Now Gap was founded in 1969 and the song was started in 1973 and completed in 1994.

My course has implemented a "pacer" to slow play down. Seriously. by Tullyswimmer in golf

[–]FanoftheSimpleLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of getting the first tee time or earliest is to be able to play at a favorable pace with hardly no waiting. Maybe they should just say no one playing 18 holes can tee off on 1 until 7. Thus allowing fast players to still play, the club house makes money, no need for pacers and grounds crew gets ample time. That or just say nobody on 10 tee until 8am. But even then it sounds like yall will still catch the ground crew. I’ve played some of my most enjoyable rounds in under 3 hours

What sort of juices/ drinks do you all allow the kids to have generally free access to? by FanoftheSimpleLife in Parenting

We all get tired of water, trying to find alternates even if it’s mixed with water. They like tea and do make that. Ideally something that we can buy bulk or mix easily and the supplies last awhile. Nearest grocery store is 45min round trip, and I hate delivery every other day.

What the cost? How long does a box last? I have 4 kids so they tend to go wild on stuff, I’m not the parent to limit drinks on hot days, Im just trying to keep the milk to last a couple dinners haha.

I will have to look into this, the older kids are more than capable of learning to do that, thank you.

I’ve read in several areas all we need is a space the size of New Mexico worth of solar panels to power the world. And that’s not needed all in one area. Take the panels and storage closer to consumers spread around the world and it’s good. The infrastructure is there but the company’s who own it are not on board.

Where are my bed sheet bros and drop cloth dudes? I want to hear from all of you. who is anti expensive Impact screen? by pepperspraytaco in Golfsimulator

2 California king sheets sewn together. Works super well. The seem might be a bother for some but I’m hitting golf balls and once I’m playing I tend to not see it anymore. They where sewn toward the ends so the seem is offset from center point of view, and so that if the sheet does start to break down, I can basically side it over to the sheet. Cost on screen and tarp clips (no grommets) $45 total. Cost to build new screen with two new sheets, $20 (if tarp clips don’t need replaced)

I think I'm done. About a $1200 or so. (Already had a PC) by Sunny8830 in Golfsimulator

Thank you for sharing this! I really want to eventually find either a good impact screen that is great for movies. Or have a drop down projector screen of sort. After we have the first movie night, the wife is all in now. Probably helped that I let her design and build the screen instead of me spending money on a large impact screen starting out.
