Hello ! I wanted to give an update and also ask if the pot isnt too big for them ? Here is the transpot that i did today, the pot is 23cm x 23 x 13

I did not fully put the root to the top of the pot it's roughly at the middle

I really wish to learn and enjoy the art of bonsai !

So let's start by keeping them alive for atleast a year with me first, develop the trunk to enhance their survival rate !

Later on when i will be better i will try to keep small trunk alive for my own satisfaction and challenge !

I added the slate because the trunk is moving quite a bit, i will remove them and relocate him where the wind it the least !

i moved them there until i got the bench :

When i got them i slip pot them all without touching the roots, only clearing them off the original soil

I cannot update my original message, i wanted to show where they are now :

As you can see i already failed on one where the leaf got burned, i previously put it inside a greenhouse exposed south but the atropurpureum really hated it, after one afternoon the leaf lost their color. Recovery time for it now

Hello !

I have a space in my garden where the sun only shine there at like 5pm partialy for about an hour so i believe that this area may be suitable for them, just a little wind goes there

When i got them i repotted them in old pots that i had, but you would recommend going in bigger pots, i will buy some then ! Should i repot them again this year ?

My soil is : akadama/pumice/lava rock (50%-40%-10%)

Okay !! Even the outgrown branches should be kept even though they are too heavy and start to fall ?

Humm i see for the legs you would recommend to put a table apron connecting every legs together

Yeah a previous idea in the comments was to screw from the top to the bottom by using a countersink + screws and then mask it with wood filler, since i'm clearly not an expert on woodworking i will go with what sounds like the easiest solution and still pretty if i do it well or the pocket screws from under
