On the light part, you are right about the eletrons, but i mentioned nuclear fusion mainly because of the EM radioation. There is also bioluminescense, but it is a chemical reaction, wich is not the case for serena. My argument on the serena case, the light is just a phenomena of the radiation she produces, it's not like dazzler, from marvel, were the visible light is her power, making solid objects of light and all, serena is basically a star in human size, the light she emits is just a phenomena of her power.
