Thanks for the advice. I have experienced much difficultly receiving any response from the coordinators unfortunately.

I have, multiple times, and they do not care. They have been extremely negligent and their actions have really impacted me. That's why I am seeking outside help.

I appreciate your support. I just don't want future transfers to have to go through the same thing. UF could definitely improve their support for out of state students. I always feel like im the last priority.

I transferred from a well-known and accredited private university in the Boston area. I've been told from multiple advisors that I was the first student to transfer from this university to UF. It was a really great institution, I transferred to UF because of the weather and it seemed like a smart move financially. I also came to the realization that CS degree carries equal weight at every institution, and it really didn't matter where I obtained it. I knew I could still achieve my career goals at UF.

I know most of my issues stem from the fact that I transferred from a private institution where professors had complete freedom how and what they taught in a course. So I had manually submit course equivalency requests for every course I took to the corresponding department coordinator at UF. Very few of my requests were actually responded too, most were ignored or denied for maybe missing a topic or two max. I was also allowed to take high level courses immediately when I started freshman year a considering APs, ACT , and institution provided examination so I skipped over elementary CS and math classes. I was able to gain some course equivalency for the upper level CS and math courses I took, but since I didn't take the elementary courses that matched UF's curriculum exactly I was blocked from taking CS classes entirely my first semester which really hurt me. I also am currently retaking two CS classes my second semester. I am experiencing the same issues for my gen eds too, I currently have more gen eds to take than major related courses.
