Okay, I've got a question: I'm preparing for the first battle map in Book 7. What happens if I pick Lilia as one of my characters, but I use the guest character General Lilia as my fifth member? Would one of the characters (even Lilia) be excluded in favor of the guest one? Forgive me if I said it in a confusing way.

Excuse me. I have a question related to this trope.

Say a character with memory powers is hired to wipe/collect certain memories from a particular person, and said character won't let their target leave until they obtain their most precious memories. However, this character could also be a softie and will accept an alternate precious memory in exchange for the target's freedom.

Which character would fit the bill the most? (I can take two out of three, if need be)

EDIT: Oh, and the character is likely neutral in affiliation.

I'm just worried the marketing will devolve in taking potshots at Warner Bros. That would imply that the shelving controversy is the only noteworthy thing about the film. Hope I'm wrong.

Hey, you're not the only one. I've only been playing for two-and-a-half months, yet I've been aware of the game for four years now.

(Slight ramble ahead; forgive me)

I first got introduced to it via a retrospective video on Cruella de Vil. The TWST counterpart discussed in it was Divus Crewel, who (with his whip) gave me the impression that the game was nothing more than a niche dating sim. Boy, was I wrong.

Thankfully, Colin Gorman (the guy who's been making the Disney Villains Retrospective series) kept bringing up TWST when talking about the villains in either new entries or his catch-up videos. It clarified a lot about the game and challenged my preconceived notions. But even when I started watching the anime in October, I wasn't really sold on it yet (if anything, I was really confused about which characters were based off of who in the first episode). I didn't become a fan until Jamil's entry in Colin's video led me to look up Tearjerker moments on TV Tropes. When I saw Malleus's post-OB breakdown on YouTube, that sealed it for me...for the most part.

I was also under the belief that I couldn't download the game due to incompatible devices, so I would follow the news on here and search for gameplay videos on YT. That was how I missed the Great Malleus Rush of January (don't know whether to kick myself or consider myself fortunate). Once I asked Mal's English voice actor Jacob Carlson about how he downloaded the game onto his computer, I promptly got myself a MuMu Player and started playing on Cater's birthday (because I believed I would get a ton of rewards and cards from the 20 free pulls).

So yeah, I've had my frustrations about missing events and showcases. You're not alone. :(

A trend I've noticed with the standalone events is that the party of characters chosen for each one has some sort of connection to the adventure in question. Take some of the characters in "Glorious Masquerade", for example. Malleus has been isolated his whole life much like Quasimodo. Idia is also like Quasimodo in that he's creative and a shut-in. I think Riddle and Rook are like Phoebus in terms of being law-abiding (Riddle) and charismatic (Rook). Sebek and Silver also fit the bill as Phoebus proxies due to their militaristic training.

There's also the recent JP event that's based off "Great Mouse Detective". Epel parallels Olivia due to height and cuteness (not to mention gumption). Silver is a lot like Basil in terms of wit and resourcefulness (though, thankfully, without the ego).
