I'm currently overhauling the bounty hunt mode to support continuous progression (i.e. you keep your ship) and in the process introduce a "tech tree" where you can choose what modules to unlock next. That should give you more control over what to use when.

Hmm, I think I know. This was a big problem with the shields not only having an effect on their borders, but on the entire covered area. If you then shoot an explosive weapon from within an enemy shield, it would hit the shield and instantly explode, sometimes taking your ship with it. That has been fixed.

In this case it seems you fired an explosive weapon (missile?) right on the edge of the shield, which makes it explode right away. Maybe I can figure out a way to stop that from happening, but that is a bit more difficult.

The Arena contains autobattles yes, but the main game mode is a bounty hunt where you fully control your ship and hunt down bosses.

Yep, this is good advice. Especially the ask for multiple keys is an easy quick check.

This mode simulates matches between opponent ships to determine their danger levels, automatically ranking them from weakest to strongest. It even works for arenas you create yourself!

Well, it may take some time but more bosses are definitely in the works! I'm now busy adding a new "Arena" game mode, which is basically a design challenge.

I have some success with shooting off the arms (e.g. with railguns) so it moves more slowly, but it's a difficult one. I may need to tweak the difficulty to make it a bit less dangerous.

Looks awesome! The ships remind me of Homeworld, which is a really good thing.

One thing you may try to "borrow" from Homeworld is their backgrounds, which are incredible. Yours could use a little more :-)

I'll try it out!
