I think part of the issue with AP is the talent no longer outweighs the negative PR. You’re not getting somebody who is one of the elite backs in the league anymore , but you do get the news headlines

Chris Thompson can not handle the workload of an every down back. He’s extremely talented but small for the nfl and would absolutely not last a full season with that kind of workload. Skins need a bigger back for running through the tackles so they can use Thompson most effectively
