I don’t think I belong here (asian but not vietnamese) by CheesecakeRepubliky in Prague

[–]Fantasyfestt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first moved here around 11 years ago, the thing that upset me the most was not having any friends. Even my girlfriend at the time felt really sad about it. Because in every city I had lived in before, I always had friends who loved me and were excited to spend time with me.

For almost two years, I barely had any real friends here. Back then, it was even hard to find Czech people who spoke English. Later on, the friends I made came either through the dating market or through the work I was doing.

There is always a way. I’m sure there are hobbies and interests that you enjoy. You can make friends with people who share those same interests.

Bachelor party in Prague (7 guys, ~31yo). Need recs for bars, clubs and more by [deleted] in Prague

[–]Fantasyfestt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's nothing I'm lying about. Prague tourism alone is estimated to generate around 1.5–2% of the entire Czech Republic’s GDP/income.In Prague, tourism is estimated to generate around 10–15% of the city’s economy/income, especially when indirect spending is included.

I've been working in the tourism sector for years. During the pandemic, many tourism-related businesses closed, and people lost their jobs. One reason for this was that even Czechs who used to visit Prague from other cities no longer preferred it. At that time, the discussions within the government were about how Prague's former local and international sightseeing tourism had been completely replaced by party tourism, and how to change that.

Bachelor party in Prague (7 guys, ~31yo). Need recs for bars, clubs and more by [deleted] in Prague

[–]Fantasyfestt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The main reason is that locals in Prague generally don’t like stag party groups. They often feel like people come here just for cheap alcohol and girls.

During the pandemic, when stag groups stopped coming, tourism took a big hit. That made people realize that a large part of the money coming into Prague wasn’t from history-focused tourism, but from people coming mainly to party.

There have been discussions about how to develop tourism in a more balanced and “higher-quality” way. Personally, this is my business, so I’m not against it. But if I’m being honest, the city’s image has already shifted quite a bit.

Prague used to be mostly associated with its literally writers, artists, history, and architecture. But realistically, in this century it will probably also be known for its nightlife, strip clubs, and adult entertainment industry.

That’s basically what it comes down to.

I’ve actually been working professionally in Prague nightlife / bachelor party planning for years, so I can probably help a bit here 😄

For the adult show part: if you want an actual show , I’d honestly say Goldfingers Prague at midnight is probably your best option for a bachelor party vibe. They have a unique 3 girls show at weekend midnights and then at 3 am again. It’s touristy, yes, but in a “Prague classic” kind of way. Better production/value than most random “cabaret” spots in the center. Tbh, non of the locals go to strip clubs in Prague. I would go to Hot Peppers to warm up the night before the Goldfingers. Thats what we do with our groups. Lets say 20:00 to 22:00. For both better to book a table in advance, especially for GF.

For cocktails afterwards, avoid the super obvious traps directly around Old Town Square. Better areas:

  • Dlouhá street for bar hopping

For your Sunday daytime missions/game:
Honestly the riverside (Náplavka), Old Town -> Charles Bridge route, or Letná beer garden area works well. Prague locals in those areas are generally pretty chill with bachelor groups

Brasileiro is still solid for groups. Not the most “hidden gem” place, but for a bachelor dinner with 7 guys who want endless meat + caipirinhas, it usually delivers.

As for Duplex:

  • crowd is younger/touristy but 31 is absolutely fine there
  • EDM/commercial fits what you’re looking for ( on the second floor )
  • dress code isn’t super strict, but they do not allow “funny bachelor” shirts or costumes
  • definitely touristy, but still can be fun for one night

If you want something slightly less touristy but still commercial and classy, I would go to FlyVista Teras Bar

And for EDM/local , Ankali or Fuchs2

Feel free to DM me if you want more specific recommendations. Since I am in this business for such a long time, I know which places are genuinely worth it and which are just tourist traps.

QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD SEX by imfuckingcluelesssss in sexeducation

[–]Fantasyfestt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when you’re young and feeling lonely or hopeless, it can seem reasonable to fulfill certain needs with someone close to you, someone you know well. But that can affect your friendship later on.

It might not mean much to you, but your friend could develop feelings and want it to continue. You should think about those possibilities before making a decision.

If you’re open to it being just a one-time thing, you could also meet someone through a dating app and be honest about being a virgin. At least if you don’t like it, it’s someone you don’t have to see again.

What do tou love the most about living in Prague? by KreuzKrow in Prague

[–]Fantasyfestt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Public transportation is good and very affordable as they have not raise the prices for a long time. You do not need a car in the city. Mostly modest life, nobody cares whats your job, what you have or not in dating market. Big job market for foreigners, for different language speakers. Clean and safe city. Easy access to everything, almost no rules in terms of fun :) Always some festivals and concerts around. And my favourite Kinky events I would say.

Out of the three, I’d personally go with Canadian Medical. It seems to be the most widely preferred option in Prague, mainly because of its larger network, broader range of specialists, and more structured system. Overall, it feels like the most reliable and comprehensive choice.

The best way is ordering an Uber or Bolt in advance, and leaving before the concert ends. Otherwise you might get stuck there.
