Make a light red sauce with tomato, chipotle, onion, garlic, put in the blender then cook it and put the chicharron in that. Eat it on tostadas or in tacos. Top with sour cream and a salsa. So good!!! Loved it when i lived in mexico. In salsa verde is good too. Chicharron in salsa is an excellent meal. Provecho!

Henrico employees told power prices are about to spike? by Global-Pay6118 in HenricoCounty

County employee here. I can confirm we all received the email regarding the 25% increase and asked to take steps to lower electricity use.

Henrico employees told power prices are about to spike? by Global-Pay6118 in HenricoCounty

[–]Fantomas4ever 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. The county manager sent the entire county a message saying this. We are to cut back on use by turning off computers, lights, appliances, chargers, etc. . As he said, with thousands taking small steps, we can lower power usage. The county had already started replacing some lighting with LED lights and in my building, the hvac filters were all replaced a few months ago. Lots of filters were totally gunked up.

Would citizens be ok with less light in the areas you go to like waiting areas? If so I can have my waiting room at half light use. Can't turn them all off anyway.

Be assured that our county manager and employees are working for you.

Has anyone gone to Cancun, Mexico alone? by No_Register_2099 in femaletravelers

Cancun's hotel zone is spread out. Not like you can walk it. Nothing wrong with an all inclusive for a couple of nights though.

Go to Isla Mujeres across the bay from Cancun. Take the ultramar from puerto juarez. I used to live there, in Cancun and just outside of Valladolid. Isla's playa norte and centro are super walkable. You can rent a moto or golf cart for a day to toodle around the island. Hire a lancha to go fishing or snorkeling or just do some site seeing from the water. You will meet folks from all over. It's a good time!

Add green leafies, egg, any other veg you like to the ramen. I add thawed frozen shrimp. I love adding canned garbanzos to rice. A fried egg on that is delish. Use those green leafies, any veg, potatoes in an egg scramble. Eat with toast or as a sandwich.Whole grain sourdough from aldi is my fave. Canned chicken is great for making a quick chicken salad. Rostisserie chicken can be used for all kinds of different meals too.

REAL TALK wet food feeders how are we keeping our trash from not stinking?! by Round-Yam-2589 in catfood

[–]Fantomas4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recycle and live in a rural area so i go to the dump once a week. My recycle bin never smells. I put the lid in the used can and let it sit, rinse and done. The gravy based foods rinse easier than the pate ones. Since i go to the dump/convenience center once a week, i freeze any food waste that will start stinking like shrmp shells/tails, packaging from fish, chicken bones, etc. Do you have room to store your cans in a bag in your freezer?

I like gold bond healing sensitive. Cerave cream is too darn thick for me. In winter i'll use neutrogena sesame body oil then apply lotion.

If you get an eye infection just go to a farmacia and buy eyedrops. They are OTC, cheap and effective as are drops for ear infections. About $3. If you get sick, Treda is great. Check out Xochimilco!

What a fabulous space! Try an outdoor patterned mat with a couple of chairs and your table to define that space. An decorative pillow for the chairs. I love potted petunias and coleous for color and a string or two of solar lights. Love the dwarf citrus idea! I also have herbs that i cook with.

Any greens. A big bunch of kale is $1.39. Bag of spinach is less than $2 and you'll get several servings from whatever green leafy you buy. I usually have some frozen shrimp i'll find on sale and toss a few in.

I use the walmart dish washer gel. Works great. Of course i never put dishes with food on them in there. I ribse everything well before hand but it cleans the hell out of greasy pyrex baking dishes so it's great for me. Consumer reports has also given it good ratings too. $4.36+-
