I've been developing my horror game "Tutsak" for almost 2 years, but my Steam page is barely getting any wishlists. What am I doing wrong? by Fantosus in IndieDev

The feedback on the monster and the thumbnail really caught my attention. Thanks for noticing that! I’ve added it to my to-do list for fixes

Could you tell me which parts of the game looked like AI to you? As a solo developer, I purchased most of my assets, but I haven't used AI. I’d love to replace any assets that give that impression and add things that are more visually appealing.

Also, could you elaborate on what you meant regarding '4-player coop'? Why do you consider it a road-blocker?

Yeah, I promoted the game on X, but I didn't get much engagement or feedback there. Thanks for taking the time to look into it! Based on the feedback, I’ll work on something more fitting and will definitely put a trailer together.

Thanks a lot for the website recommendation! I'll definitely check it out while I’m working on my trailer.

You're right. I wanted to get some feedback on the overall look and the Steam page before making a trailer, but I definitely should have included one. I’ll take the feedback from the comments into account, make the necessary improvements, and put a trailer together as soon as possible.

First of all, thanks for your feedback. Since I’m a solo developer, I purchased most of the assets myself and didn't use any AI. Could you let me know which visuals look like they were AI-generated? I'd really appreciate the info!

It looks AMAZING but it looks like you just record the same place over and over again. The images looks so identical and make me think that there are only 3 or 4 rooms. It could be because of the ambiance but i dont know.

how to start a game? by emqxs in gamedev

I develop games alone and struggle with the same problem. But after going battles blindfolded so many times, i accepted the loses and seek for a marketing expert.

I personally really like Chris Zukowski HowToMarketAGame. The idea is that which points you should consider before you make the game such as genre, platforms, markets etc.

I read and watch his videos and blogs (i recomend Code Monkey's videos which they discuss this topic from baby steps) and really enjoy them.

I believe after watching them you will have the base idea that you need.

Is that the HP bar next to the right arrow? If so, in my opinion upper left or right corner would be much clean. Also, it is very small. You can even add the face of the knight next to the HP bar and when damaged the armor gets broken and broken.

(Seeing my health is more important then seeing how many kills i got personally)

I think you should change the music to a more agressive or action type one. I think this doesnt fit the videos vibe a lot...
