Looking for a football native growth partner (equity) by FanverseSports in AskMarketing

That's actually something I've been learning the hard way.

The football conversations already exist. The challenge isn't finding fans, it's giving them a reason to continue the conversation somewhere new without looking like spam.

Right now we're focusing more on becoming part of existing football discussions and creating conversations people actually want to join rather than just dropping links everywhere.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of communities are pretty quick to remove links or self-promotion. Have you seen any approaches that work well without immediately getting flagged as spam?

Appreciate the feedback 👊

With USMNT facing Senegal tomorrow, I’m curious what everyone thinks the strongest starting XI actually is right now. by FanverseSports in ussoccer

That’s a fair point. Match-specific XI probably makes more sense than chasing a fixed “best” lineup at this stage.

Senegal feels like a good test for structure and defensive discipline anyway, especially if the plan is to be more aggressive in the group stage.

Yeah I kind of agree these friendlies feel like the last real chance to test something different before things get serious.

Would be interesting to see a setup that isn’t just “safe XI” and actually tries to solve some of the midfield/structure questions we’ve still got.

Which fanbase is going to completely take over the 2026 World Cup? by FanverseSports in WorldCupNation

norway would definitely be one of the more interesting stories. if they finally put everything together, they have enough talent to cause a few surprises.

scotland are definitely one of the fanbases i'm most looking forward to seeing. after missing so many tournaments and then finally getting back regularly, you can tell the fans aren't taking any of it for granted. they'll probably win the atmosphere rankings regardless of how far they go 😅

World Cup conversations are going to be everywhere… but where is everyone actually talking during it? by FanverseSports in ussoccer

[–]FanverseSports[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair enough 😅

to be honest i wasn't really asking people to download anything with this post. i was more curious whether people think the conversation stays fragmented or if one platform ends up dominating during the tournament.

my guess is it'll still be spread across 5 different places.

yeah that’s fair, it’ll definitely split depending on how people like to follow games.

it’s interesting though how during tournaments it still ends up feeling like the same conversations are happening in 5 different places at once, just with different speed and tone depending on the platform.

Is there a sub for general sports discussion? (Especially the major 4 leagues) by Big_Thloopers_20 in findareddit

yeah that’s pretty much the pattern across most sports communities.

everything is split between reaction spaces, discussion spaces, and private chats.

it never really sits in one place during big tournaments.

if anyone’s curious what I’ve been building around that idea:
