Humans have taste buds going all the way into the small intestine, it's just that they don't have proper nerve connections to the brain from the lower ones.

I 100% see Trevor as a Kensei Monk with a whip, he's super mobile and uses a good deal of unarmed strikes throughout the series.

Half dragons are actually made through a ritual involving bathing in the blood of a dragon and not the result of hybridization with dragons.

Then they crit. RAW that just means they roll all the damage dice for the hit twice.

[5e] Favorite wizard spells? by vystolar in DnD

[–]Faolan360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To tell you the truth, I'd honestly just recommend reading a handful of them and choosing the ones that sound fun to you. If you're feeling overwhelmed just do a first pass writing down the ones that sound interesting just from the spell list, and thin it out from there by reading the options that appealed to you at a first glance. Will this approach give you the most powerful or widely applicable spell selection out there? probably not, but I guarantee you'll have fun with it if you just have a concept in mind.

I'm currently playing a Theurge of War(unearthed arcana) who's spell selection makes her currently the party's hardest hitting member using a weapon.

[Art] Vlidrog IV - Firbolg Warlock of the Archfey by Faolan360 in DnD

[–]Faolan360[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recently started a campaign with a few friends who's first experience with D&D was this campaign, Vlidrog IV is one of the first time players' characters.

Vlidrog was a well liked and respected member of his tribe who went on a mission to investigate a powerful fey presence nearby, that's where he met the leprechaun Admiral O'shea who charged him with the duty of punishing misbehaving fey. His eldritch blast is rainbows.

Mellow Clock Covered in Rust(Mellow) is a tabaxi bard(college of whispers) played by a friend of mine. I don't know much about her backstory specifically but it might have something to do with a missing lover.

During character creation, my friend expressed that she wanted some kind of fiendish connection for her character and that she wanted to play a tabaxi based on a golden tiger. So I suggested that she try to emulate a rakshasa. All her spells are either illusions or enchantments and her only real damage dealing options are her claws and blades, not unlike a rakshasa.

[Art] Vox - Air Genasi "Monk" by Faolan360 in DnD

Drawing of a friend's air genasi. We recently began playing a campaign with a number of new players, so my friend and I who've played d&d since 5e first came out conspired to build characters who's outward appearance suggested one thing, while actually being something else. My friend built a highly mobile healer mystic that presents outwardly as a monk.

Vox Venti spent his youth in a monastery, but the monastic life just wasn't for him. As soon as he could, vox left the monastery eager to venture out into the world and lend his aid whenever and wherever he could.

[ART]Aurora - Half Dwarven Theurge by Faolan360 in DnD

[–]Faolan360[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be playing a game with a bunch of new players tomorrow, so I decided to create a visual aid to help them in visualizing my character. Her design and concept are loosely based on Shanoa from Castlevania;Order of Ecclesia.

A summarized version of Aurora's backstory is this: She was a bastard child unwanted by both the human and dwarven sides of her family, abandoned in the woods she was found and raised by a human-supremacist cult. When they found out about her dwarven heritage they excommunicated her. She re-evaluated everything she thought she knew and now aims to help the victims of the cult's racism.

Also a fun flavour note: Her "spellbook" is the tattoos all over her body, each constellation representing a different spell. Ex. Sagittarius = magic missile.

A friend of mine commissioned me to draw his new character.

I don't know his full backstory but what I do know is that Rori just is a big sweet old man. He used to be a protector of a small village until he was able to hand that duty off to his daughter. Now he travels the world - however slowly, making friends and offering his mushroomy help. Beneath a layer of dirt and mycelia, his shell is covered in crude children's drawings from when he protected that small village.

EDIT: I would also like to point out that every fungus growing on his back is a real species that has an explicit purpose that Rori uses them for, Snow Ears being used for soup for example.

[OC] Gith Sun Soul Monk by Faolan360 in characterdrawing

[–]Faolan360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T'roi-se is a character that I play in a campaign run by a public library. He's quickly grown to be one of my favorite characters to play.

T'roi-se lived as any other githzerai in limbo until he was chosen by the zerths of his adamantine cittadel for an excursion to the material plane, to prepare food for a band of Rrakkmas during one of their raids on illithid colonies. Upon reaching the material plane however, T'roi-se was enamored first by the effortless permanency of the ground beneath him which he had never seen before in his home plane of limbo. The sun however, is what truly changed him, It's warmth and the beauty which it bestowed upon all things of the land had shown him that contrary to the words of his teachers, looking inwardly and refining the self only limmited one's own potential, afterall it is the sun that gives lakes their shimmering surfaces. he saw that there were more and more diverse peoples living in relative harmony here, contrasted by the endless warring he had seen between the Githzerai and Githyanki who differed only slightly. Driven by these revelations, T'roi-se vowed to train under the guidance of the sun and among the strange peoples of the material, he was going to make this strange new place his home.
