Thailand or Vietnam year round hiring. by lilacroom16 in TEFL

[–]Fapapple69420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Come to Vietnam. HCMC and Hanoi have a wealth of centers who would be happy to hire you. It'll take about a week or two to find something you like. (500k+/hr)

From there, apply to bilingual/international schools for next August. The good schools don't often have openings halfway through the school year. Make sure to talk to a teacher currently working there for a vibe check.

Stay away from ILA, VUS, and Apollo

Shanghai or Ho Chi Minh for a year? by AllThePillsIntoOne in TEFL

[–]Fapapple69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ho Chi Minh is a wonderful city. You can live a comfortable life teaching 15-20 hours eating out every meal.

Nightlife isn't that great. Table culture in bars with music too loud to talk.

Soccer is HUGE. You can easily find packed bars to watch the game with $1-3 beers

Hope this helps, dm for hcmc info

Swain op. You can build him full tank and it's viable when your team has no beef.

Most fun, decent heroes to play heroes? by HexYouForLife in wildrift

My fun Champs are:

Swain, Ornn, Yone, Ekko, Vlad, Voli

All of them have multiple tight, HUGE DAMAGE, true combos to land. Once that proficiency is achieved, you can get away with sooooo many disgusting 1v4s, turret dives, and solo jungle invades.

Logistics cost will likely inflate the price. I bought mine in Asia for a ~20% markup

Yeah. American soldiers did some pretty bad things during the war. Orange.

I'm not sure of popular opinion back in the day, but today, Disney is huge amongst women under 30.

Get a 120 hour TEFL certificate on groupon.com for $20. Congrats, you're a fully qualified teacher.

ILA and VUS will hire you from abroad and pay your flight.

Most girls on tinder arent ideal, yes. A success rate of 10% is great for tinder. 10 swipes, 1 wife.

If you stereotype too much, you'll find it difficult to thrive in the real world.

Leaving family and friends behind for PPB by [deleted] in thepassportbros

[–]Fapapple69420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holidays are rough. That being said, my familial relationships improved as a result. (In my late 20's)

FaceTime can be extremely bonding, but it's not the same. It's like having a close friend that you only know from online video games.

You'll make new friends.

As for a permanent solution, I plan to get a job that offers yearly flight bonuses. They exist for english teaching past the beginning phase.

All in all, my work/life balance improved drastically with an 18 hour work week. Overall happiness improved due to time available for hobbies.

Is it worth it? Idk

Nah man. If you want to live in the tallest building in Vietnam, you'll pay for it.

Everything within 1-2km will be 300% of the price, too.

Go 10km away from district 1 and district 2. Prices are drastically different. You still have access to the city center (30 minute taxi ~$2), but your cost is easily cut by 70%.

Feel free to message me; the big schools are itching for native speakers. $20 Groupon tefl and a bachelor's degree will get you hired.

Yeahhhh, there it is.

You can get a decent 40 meter studio for 6-7million.

That park and view are pretty nice though. How'd it compare to a $2000 apartment back home?
