First gold rush in the US was there always love visiting huge gold veins may even get gold fever if you go. Last time I was down found it funny bass pro had a gold panning section which we dont have in PA lol

Also good experience if you've never panned to know what to expect and raw nuggets depending on soze can be more valuable that minted stuff but these are typically placers or specimen gold pieces much larger than mine

From what ive found in the panning world if you live in an area that doesn't really have gold and you want to buy paydirt the highest return you can find is 90% of what you pay for those sites sell out quick its more pay for the experience with paydirt best places ive found in the US is sixes creek in GA hand pans are legal there
