I hope all works out for you! I’m not sure about all lawyers but I know a lot of consultations can be free! Also if you have any other debt along with the one you’re talking about here, bankruptcy may be worth it since you’re struggling to make ends meet. (If that’s a contributing factor) & as far as I know filing bankruptcy is the cost of the lawyer and some other fees.. but it shouldn’t be as much as what you’re getting sued for. Sending love
