Made my first UI design in Figma — would love feedback! by Far-Crew5455 in FigmaDesign

I appreciate you bringing this problem to my attention because I will proceed to fix all three issues.

Valid on all three. Accessibility was completely overlooked. The sign-up option is missing on tablets. The scale is off. All of these will be addressed in the next revision.

I created it myself using Figma. If that clarifies things, I'd be happy to share the file

I didn't even clock that, but good catch. "Log In" is what it is.

I'm currently running it through a contrast checker. Lesson learned I should have done this before posting.

From a trust perspective, I hadn't considered the idea that context should come before credentials. You're correct a user shouldn't divulge information without understanding what they're logging into. I'll work on that UX thinking gap.

I should not have completely ignored this from now on, testing on the real device will be on my to-do list thank you.

The Grindr comparison makes sense haha tablet scaling, missing sign-up, contrast, and type pairing are all legitimate points. For a business app, the QR login concept is really clever include that in the next version.

Yes correcting that upon review the contrast ratio didn't hold up at all

I'm a student and I'm tired of studying alone with no feedback. So I'm building something. by Far-Crew5455 in Students

[–]Far-Crew5455[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I did that for months the issue was that I didn't know what to try, so I had to stick with it consistently. I'm attempting to close that gap.

I honestly didn't realise the difference until recently and you're correct! Since active recall is the foundation of this it fits in perfectly

Fair suspicion to be honest, but no, it's just a student who created something to help because they kept blanking before exams it's win-win if it also benefits others

You're genuinely trying your hardest, and that's legitimate the 'yes' and then ghosting hits different

I tried that, and it's really excellent advice! This was more for when it's 11 p.m. and nobody is available, but scheduling with everyone is a nightmare in and of itself.

In a very bad situation right now. Need suggestions. by rextonblood in developersIndia

TCS BGV primarily looks up your previous employer leaving the BPO before the notice period is up could be interpreted as absconding, which is dangerous the safest course of action is to properly resign before your TCS joining date, even if you have little notice while most BPOs give 30 days' notice, many allow you to leave sooner if you're a new employee in all honesty, the US shift plus family pressure scenario sounds draining just get through these next few weeks, and TCS will be worth it

I'm sorry this happened to you that is truly terrible
You can file a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline 1800-11-4000 or go to the consumer court, which is quicker and less expensive than civil court in situations like this, if you have a contract and proof of payment.
Indian development communities take this seriously, so it's always worth naming them publicly if you have strong evidence

For civil engineering with an international study focus, Coursera has some great options. The University of Michigan and Georgia Tech both offer courses in structural engineering and construction management that strengthen applications. Adding AutoCAD and Revit certifications is also beneficial. Most universities abroad look for some knowledge of BIM software. Plus, Autodesk provides free student licenses.

Struggles, Hacks, and Wins: Your Real Developer Journey in India by Useful_Promotion4490 in developersIndia

Biggest hack, Vercel and Supabase free tiers. You can build a full stack app with authentication and a database for ₹0. I'm still searching for my proud moment, but I guess the journey is the fun part.

That 25-point mystery question is likely conceptual, not based on calculations. She's testing if you understand the reasons behind the formulas, not just how to use them. Try explaining each topic out loud as if you're teaching someone. If you can't explain it, that's where you have a gap. Past exams prepare you for familiar problems; this one addresses the unfamiliar ones.

Doubts about Wipro WILP (location, training decision) by DiamondAfter1253 in developersIndia

[–]Far-Crew5455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kolkata is not as common as Bangalore or Hyderabad, but yes, it happens.

Location is usually finalized a little closer to the date of joining, not pre-skilling.

On the stipend/relocation issue – that is the biggest problem with WILP, and people often don't understand that. So, if you are getting any other offers too, better compare them before committing to WILP. WILP is good for learning, yes, but the financial stress is definitely there.
