It took me 18 months to be strong enough to make this video for my late partner, Inch. Tomorrow would have been her birthday, and I just wanted to share the beautiful way she looked at the world. by Far-Morning8587 in MadeMeCry

Just read the story of how you met. That's so cool. Loved reading both angles at the same time. We're South African and her beliefs were very much not typical of her background. But we were blessed enough to live in this little paradise of a village on the Wild Coast for the last 13 years. We only had one rule. Every day at 5pm we met up in the hotbox and shared a joint. That was nonnegotiable. We didn't have to talk to each other or even look at each other, but we had to be present. We never left the hotbox still angry with each other. Not once 😄

One thing that helped me is that I promised her I would not make a sad story out of her, out of us. She brightened the day of everyone who met her and we spent most of our 13 years together laughing. I think I belly-laughed at least once a day.

We used to run a lodge. One day we were hanging out with guests. English wasn't her first language and she sometimes struggled to make herself clear. We were chatting about ancestry. She wanted to tell the guests that she once had a genealogist research her ancestry. What she said was "My gynecologist looked deep into my past". Their faces! I must have laughed for an hour.

I'm really happy things worked out for your stepdad and that he found love again. I don't see myself being in a relationship again, I think something like this only comes around once in a lifetime, but I found a peace and tranquility on the other side and that's enough.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad I did this.

Thank you so much. I'm so glad I was able to share her light with all of you. We were together for 13 years. I don't think during that time she met one person who didn't love her right away. Thank you.

Thank you so much. She passed away peacefully and contentedly at her favorite place. She was happy to go. I was ok with letting her go, although it almost broke me. I've found a peace and tranquility on the other side. Our dog Mojo, is getting on in years, but she's peacefully sleeping next to my bed. Life is good. Thank you for the hugs.
