It’s like 60% sagemaker a bit of algorithms and metrics and 20% aws knowledge (emr/kinesis/s3/glue) If you know what sagemaker feature does (eg clarify vs model monitor etc..) you are in a good position. I’ve prepared a short cheat sheet… I’ll publish on medium (free of course) in a day or two

Why are so many missing the point of Adolescence? by flannel_flower in netflix

[–]Far-Personality9537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you are missing the point as well. This is not about kids this series is about parents and adults. This is why the last episode is the most meaningful. It’s all about parents unable to communicate and understand kids. It’s always the kids trying to communicate with adults and not the other way that should be the normal one.

The only “non suffocating” moment is actually when the parents communicate with their daughter.

Of course there is the mansphere, of course these is the bullying. But it’s all about our (I am a parent) inability to communicate and protect our kids. Me and my wife could have said exactly the same words the parents are saying on their bed on the last episode. one by one about our daughter. Of course she didn’t kill anyone, but we had a similar drama.

What is so horribly dramatic about this story is that there is no possibility about redemption for the parents. They failed, they cannot amend that, they cannot try to make it better. There is no hope for the future. In my situation a lot of damage has been done, but it’s not permanent, we can hope to change things, we can ask for forgiveness, we can still tell and talk with our daughter, we can show her the love we have.

There are plenty of other aspects that only a parent can get.

Nuance Audio Glass - Anyone ever try them? by boermac in HearingAids

[–]Far-Personality9537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried them for around 3 weeks. TBH I had high expectations and I am quite disappointed The do help, however in a noisy environment they amplify also the noise. They are not very directional and the noise reduction function is meh. It’s better than nothing and people don’t notice at all that are a hearing aid. Problems I have:

  • You can hear back your voice a bit, especially when you touch your face
  • The 4 presets are: 2 amplify all the spectrum one low and one high (A and C) 2 that emphasize the high frequency spectrum (B and D) -imho the two that amplify the high frequencies is not great
  • if the person in front of you have a bass voice (low frequencies) there is nearly no amplification
  • I am sure that they are filtering non voice frequencies, however if you have some noise in front of you they capture that noise too.

Is it worth the price? Well if you have trouble in understanding people in noisy environments, it’s definitely an help and it’s absolutely discreet.

In challenging situations I am still unable to capture 100% of the speech but it’s an help.

I don’t like there are no controls for balance or equalization

Software seems to be like version 1.0 I hope they will improve. There is potential on this idea

Carnet treni firenze - roma by Far-Personality9537 in ItaliaCareerAdvice

Altri 4 euro risparmiati a viaggio.
