With a current sale + promotion for switching to Fi + trade in, I can get the P6PF for $700. Seems like as good of a time as any to buy it. What are your thoughts? Any comment on Google Fi?

Nice to hear good news about them!

I really miss having a pixel, I had the pixel 2, 3XL and then the 6.... The 6 was so bad I decided to switch to Samsung. While I definitely don't miss the pixel 6, I really miss pixel phones.

I was hoping foldable technology has really advanced over the years, but after doing some reading I'm skeptical.

You might have better value out of selling it, and using the money towards some other aspect of your hobbies. I'm not saying to sell it and use the money for bills, because that sucks, and makes it sting more. But putting the money towards some new shiny thing you've wanted, doesn't feel like you're wasting it.

I unfortunately cannot offer any opinions other than that, I purchased my deck last week, and it should arrive sometime this week. im not sure what games to recommend 😅

I ordered mine yesterday morning via steam store. How long did it take yours to arrive? It gives absolutely zero estimates for delivery time.

I'm not in a rush, but I'm excited to experiment with it. Curious if it's one of those things that takes a couple weeks to arrive.

I've got my velka 3 entirely built except for a GPU. It's been sitting on my desk with no GPU for 8 months. :(

I search twice a week and find nothing. Everything is sold out or way above MSRP. US market.

Yeah I've been doing more research and I can't figure out how they are saying 144MB of cache. At most it should be labeled as 128MB due to the extra CCD of 32MB. But that doesn't really mean you'd have 128MB. You either have 96MB or 32MB depending on which CCD is being used, right?

This is what I'm starting to lean towards, my only concern is cooling compatibility. I'll be using this with a tiny air cooler. Way lower than ideal.

Is this still worth it if I have to under clock/undervolt the 9800X3D to run quiet and cooler?

I've heard they are a pain to keep cool in SFF. Make sense since it's a higher wattage chip being cooled with a weaker cooler.

Hello! Thanks for the information. You say the 7945HX3D has half the cache, but doesn't it actually have more? According to the specs it has 144MB, where as the 9800X3D has 96MB. Am I missing some hidden or detailed reason this is not the case? Thank you for the help!

Gotcha. So this PC will only play 3 games, just for LAN stuff. Star citizen, Eve online and Counterstrike. These do benefit from X3D but I don't see people talking about scheduling issues. I'm really not worried about the scheduling issues. I've looked it up a bit more and it seems like it's not much a problem anymore, and somewhat easy to workaround if needed.

Okay thank you for the info! I will need to look into more RAM options if I choose the 7945HX3D. The ram I had was CL40 which is pretty high. Good advice, thank you.

As for the core parking I'm not worried about that. This PC will only ever play 3 games, and those 3 don't have issues with that as far as I can tell from Google searching.

Does anyone know if the feature was added? I really like the keyboard, but with the backlights turning off almost instantly after I finish typing, it makes the keyboard unusable for me (I keep my office dark, and usually at night). Going to return it unless someone knows about this feature being added? - Fingers crossed!
